We first began making wood furniture in Beecher Falls, Vermont, and our sawmill is still operational to this day. It‘s where we grade responsibly sourced logs, mill, and kiln-dry them, as well as craft rough-sawn tabletops.
Our Silao, Mexico, workshop specializes in genuine leather upholstery, working with artisan-dyed hides and precision-cutting and color-blending each piece.
In Orleans, Vermont, we use the wood milled in Beecher Falls, precision-cutting some of our most popular pieces before assembling them and finishing them by hand.
In Maiden and Claremont, North Carolina, we hand-tailor fabric upholstery and craft exposed wood upholstery frames by hand.
At our wood furniture workshop in Honduras, we craft a wide range of furniture, specializing in pieces that require detailed wood carving.

When recent clients were drawn to modern silhouettes while sofa shopping with designer Kayla McCullough, an idea for a modern design began to take shape in her mind.
But when she visited the home, she found classic-leaning architecture—a design dilemma that she knew how to solve.

In the classic rotunda (shown to the left), Kayla started by creating an impactful library space that accentuated the round shape of the room. She selected a teal Channing sofa and accents in glam materials like mother of pearl. The curved back of the Channing sofa with acrylic legs added a modern element, while the accent pieces had a classic twist.
The highlight of this Spirit Awardwinning room fully embraces its architecture: Kayla chose eighteen Ethan Allen mirrors, including several custom options, to play into the 13-foot ceilings while reflecting natural light—all to dazzling effect.
“Natural light plays a huge role in design and when you have a welllit space, you must appreciate it,” Kayla notes. “Throughout the day, the sunlight reflects off the mirrors, creating a space that lures you in.”
“I fell in love with the silver leaf applique within the dining room’s focal tray ceiling,” Kayla says—and no wonder, since she describes herself as a maximalist! She kept this and other original lighting fixtures throughout the home. “I wanted that ceiling to remain the essence of the room, allowing the furniture to complement it.”
When she presents her designs, Kayla likes to invite potential clients out of their comfort zones. Though she has her own sense of style, she avoids the confines of any one sensibility. “I have a profound appreciation for all aesthetics,” she says. “That is where the beauty of design unfolds.”
