Celebrating Our Momentous Journey Together - A Future Brightened for Aspiring but Financial Underprivileged African students To Sven Schuett, CEO, and the esteemed team at IU-International University of Applied Sciences, as well as our cherished partners at the Study Access Alliance CONGRATS! It is with immense joy and profound gratitude that I write to celebrate the remarkable strides we have made together through our SIRIUSACADEMYCAMPAIGN. This initiative, aimed at offering scholarships to underprivileged female students from Africa to pursue hotel management, has now evolved into an even more ambitious project, thanks to our synergistic partnership and shared vision of democratising education. Our collective effort, spearheaded by the visionary curator Lindsey Ueberroth of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, alongside the unwavering support from our generous donors within the HoteliersGuild global membership, has laid a robust foundation for transforming the lives of about 60 young women so far. The IU's and Study Access Allianc's commitment to educational excellence, have been pivotal in driving this initiative towards its success.
The exciting news I just received further propels our mission: In an unprecedented collaboration between IU with UNICEF, Rlabs, and GenU, you are expanding our horizon to empower African women in IT and tech. With a commitment to provide 2,000 scholarships by 2024, targeting an aspirational goal of 10,000, you are not just offering education but nurturing the future leaders of technology and innovation in Africa. This bold step aligns perfectly with our vision of democratizing education, fostering economic growth, and ensuring equal opportunities for all - we are much looking forward to deepen our collaboration. As we celebrate this milestone, our hearts are filled with hope and excitement for the future. Yet, our journey is far from over. The path ahead requires us to rally more support, as each scholarship, which IU has so graciously offered to our SIRIUSACADEMYCAMPAIGN at the incredible price of merely 1000 €, represents a life changed, a community empowered, and a step closer to gender equality in the hospitality industry across the African continent.
