Tsai Residence - Proposal HsinChu, Taiwan Under Discussion

The residence is already a completed house with five floors above ground and one floor below ground, what we need to do is to redesign the interior arrangement and create a new style. The owner’s family has a large number of books and collections so sufficient storage space is the first requirement, and every member has their own floor. During the design process, the Tsai family also mentioned their preference for their own rooms and all agreed with the scholarly atmosphere around public spaces. We finally decided to use mostly wood materials in warm colors and decorated with marbles and metals in some details.

Design process for girl’s room:

There were two separated rooms at the fourth floor. For freeing the layout to create more functions and sufficient storage spaces, I designed to cut a part of former partition wall in the second version. Miss Tsai is a make-up artist who needs a well-designed dressing table for arranging her various tools, so that the dressing area became the key point during discussions. I also suggested adding bright color that can feel wider, younger and more energy in this room. Furthermore, the balcony is designed in simple and cozy temperaments that well-linked with the interior.

Interior Design / 3D Modeling Apartment Design for Chu-Hsing Co. - Proposal HsinChu, Taiwan Under Discussion

The drafts were about the interior arrangement for new residential building of Chu-Hsing Construction Company. The client wished to create a new living style which called “Individual Boutique Apartment, and the interior design requires being creative and free so I sketched various types without thinking too much. I felt a lot of funs when drawing what I imagined that there was not much limitation. The project is still under discussion.

The building was inspired by "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", which is the landscape masterpiece of Huang Gongwang (1269-1354), one of the Four Yuan Masters, and to express the peaceful scenes literarily. The main functions of the place are to receive customers and express the image of the construction company. With ceremonial path that pass through the traditional Chinese courtyard layout, the peaceful atmosphere forms the space in poetry. To match the interior space perfectly, most furnishings were elaborately selected or custom-made in Oriental style.

No. 215 Interior Magazine reported

3A Society is an office building owned by Twin Oaks Development Co., 3A stands for Architecture, Art and Alive which are concepts of the company. We redesigned the working areas for that the owner wished to change the atmosphere in office and to show new image to their customers. The space is divided into five main parts that includes MMB Tiles Display Area, Shih-Yu Marbles Showroom, Facilities Display Area, Reception Room and the Office, and there is a light passage which connects these areas to create the marvelous visual sense and the mood transition. Beyond the boundaries, visitors can experience the peaceful temperament when walking through the space and the owners also expressed the spirit of the timeless classic in the architectural design. The passage was finished with black metal frames and double-glazing walls that pasted on 3M stickers and the various patterns formed the stereoscopic effect. T5 lamps were installed in the top and the bottom of glasses for creating the diffused lights that made the space more ceremonially.

The stone cubes were inserted to the dark gray metal frames as an art work. With the various sizes, directions and angles, cubes perform the movement that marbles can show the soft rhythms as well. To achieve that the space is similar to the gallery, we set white marbles sculptures in front of the wall.

The construction company displays the standard kitchen to their customers; the facilities were wrapped in the dark environment that forms a sense of contrast. We decorated with Alessi’s accessories in the kitchen.

Decor Design / 3D Modeling Sanway Sanitary Showroom, Taichung, Taiwan 2009

The Sanway International Co. is an agent that imports high-end quality sanitary wares from Europe such as Duravit, Jado and other famous brands. In 2009, they started to import table accessories brands as Rosenthal and Sambonet, so that they need to arrange a new showroom in their original selling building. To display the lustrous tableware, the interior space was basically in black and white glass materials that can match every product easily and creates a fashionable style. I also designed for their image advertising posters to introduce brands and designers to customers. Different from other projects, I consider this case is a nice experience of handling commercial space design.

No. 198 Interior Magazine reported

There are two floors public spaces in the residential building designed by our office, including meeting areas and leisure areas. The interior presents a clam sense by using large amounts of marble and metal materials, in order to balance the cold atmosphere, the key point of decor design was to put a lot of decorations in warm colour. For instance, we settled huge suspension lamps in the lobby that not only becomes spotlights but also creates the warm to visitors. Additionally, it is noticeable that we put a lot of custom-made ceramic plates and vases in black and white, which can completely match with interior space.

The project was a model house designed for promoting the new living building, which was located near the most popular park in Taichung. In order to fascinate high-level consumers, the owners, Yuan-Lin Construction Co. wished to build an elegant house in classical style, and the decor design played a very important role in creating the interior atmosphere. While the color was basically in white, furnishings were mostly in dark brown or black and made to fit the scale in the house. In addition, all decorations were specially selected that were rare and involved in both oriental and western classical modes but with contemporary features. Finally, this project was appreciated by consumers and sold out in a short time.

Silent Utopia

The glamour of music can bring not only hope, but also fear. Envy brings hatred and desire brings greed... In this mysterious palace, a lonely monarch wishes to create the most marvelous song in the world. He seizes, he uses, but he also deeply loves... A pure white power ruled by arbitrariness... The Destruction is Coming...

Short Film - Final Project 2008 Jobs - Art and Visual Design, Sound Effects, Project Planning

Scene Making:

We created a story of fantasy with an unusual palace, which filled with cold and desolation. The space was formed with a large number of squares in diverse sizes, and white was the main color of the film that can be seen everywhere. To present our idea, we made costumes and the front scene in our limited budget and then integrated the real shooting with 3D modeling background.

47

The captive who has to sing for the monarch for accomplishing the perfect song was imprisoned in the white room that with some square holes on the wall. We built the room and the corridor as well.
