PROFILE Pursuing Bachelors Degree in Spatial Design and studying Diploma in Landscape & Architecture, widens up my knowledge into the open artistic world of architecture that is more than just function and structure, but the searching of unique artistic language through my strong passion in architecture. Being able to proudly present my works to the industry as the Best of Best in Diploma (2019) & Bachelor (2020) Project Exhibition and accumulate respectful awards from SILA for GOLD & Bronze. Showcasing my projects in NAFA Open House in 2018, Exhibitions in 2019, and Singapore Gardens Festival in 2018, are the stepping stones that I took courageously for a better future career. Architects and designers like Le Corbusier, Tadao Ando, Louis Kahn, Steven Holl, Daniel Libeskind, and James Turell whom are masters of spatial and architecture creativity, had always been an inspiration that guided me through my projects.

CO N C EPT AT T ITU D ES . The design concept follows 2 concept attitudes : Respecting Heritages & Neutral Approaches to space possibilities. These attitudes allow the design to be more subtle and not invading the importance of historical heritages. The idea is greatly inspired by its memorable history that is crucial and unique to the site, to translate it into different atmosphere and space experience as users go through the spaces. Paradigm eventually breaks down these ideas into 3 different timelines of spaces : Past, present and Future, creating an exhibition and memorial park.

The idea of creating experiential journey ties back to the importance in understanding the phenomenon of history, its timeline and existence within the memories and places. The approach includes understanding the chronological journey of the war, marking out the precedents ; the first step of japanese invasion, bombings, Alexandra Hospital massacres and so on. The marked precedents eventually creates incisions on slope, uncovering the ground of the memories that will eventually become a corridor of journey that visitors will take to venture the memories. The corridors are a combination of exterior and interior space, unity of all nature and a loop of memories.

Due to the site is situated at an old building which was rented by client and as per request by client, they wanted to preserve its original facade. By doing so, the idea of Japanese Shoji created a second skin infront, retaining the original building facade, which can be taken down once the site is returned to its original owners. The shape of Japanese Shoji also influences the way natural light enters the interiors of the space, as the site is located to the north east. The angled facade allows more light to be captured within the spaces.

The Corona Virus pandemic has induced an acceleration in transformations such as teleworking (Work Via Online Platforms) or sustainable mobility. It has also change the way people interact with each other, places we visit, and daily life quality. These changes may be temporary, but it will be a reminder as a year where we value the interior homes or spaces the most as lockdowns are implemented. This creates an idea of evolution within the public and commercial sittings / businesses to adapt in such conditions where people are social distancing and moving more efficiently than before. CONCEPT IDEA The idea of energy saving that introduces the world into electric cars, injecting power by exchanging fuel with electricity. It becomes a vessel of moving batteries that links both humans and nature together by helping to reduce the carbon emission. It is a paradox thata create a change in atmosphere from grim to bright. the idea is to mark the start of a change into the carbon emission within the country, specially north sumatra. The design transforms rain drops into canopy like structures, with each canopy, it captures water and create a man made greenery that grows overtime, creating a living monument. A new home for nature, a link between human and nature.
