Microsoft Launches Surface as a Service for Enterprises
Microsoft is expanding and over the years it has launched many software and hardware to benefit consumers in numerous ways. Earlier, Microsoft Surface, a Windows-based personal computing device from Microsoft was designed and manufactured exclusively and strictly for consumers, which was available at only consumer retail outlets. With time, the company expanded its sales to retailers and business suppliers. Microsoft Surface has grown as a business in the past year due to its better quality of products and expanded availability. This company has progressed from generating $1 billion revenue in one year to $1 billion in a single quarter. Recently, the company has been focusing on expanding its Surface business beyond the consumer market. Microsoft recently launched a new leasing scheme called “Surface-as-a Service� program at its Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto with an aim to bring more Windows Surface devices into the enterprise. The company also announced an initiative that will now allow businesses and enterprises to use Surface devices with subscriptions to Cloud Services, Windows 10 and Office 365. It will let employees of the enterprise benefit from the latest hardware and faster performance cycles. The program will allow configuration service providers to offer the Surface devices as a managed service offering to their enterprises. With the help of this solution, enterprises will now be able to deliver comprehensive and well managed end-to-end IT solutions.
