New tax legislation has led Seminole Boosters to create two distinct annual fund designations — the Athletic Excellence Fund and the Per Seat Annual Fund — which both provide funding for 500 student-athletes competing on your 20 sports teams. Seminole Boosters created this distinction to preserve the deductibility of some donor’s annual fund gifts. The distinction between the funds is based on whether the donor purchases season tickets for home football games. As of January 1, 2018, donors may no longer claim a tax deduction for contributions made to the benefit of a university for which they receive the right to purchase tickets for home games. If you purchase season tickets, each seat in Doak Campbell Stadium has a per-seat contribution requirement. Please reference the priority-seating map for the required per seat contribution associated with tickets. All members who purchase season tickets will be entered into the Per Seat Annual Fund. These contributions are no longer tax deductible. Members who do not purchase season tickets will be placed in the Athletic Excellence Annual Fund. Contributions to this fund are fully deductible to the extent the law allows. Game day parking is a benefit but must be claimed as the fair market value which will be reported on year-end tax receipts.
Members of either Annual Fund will enjoy the following benefits: >> Satisfaction of providing life-changing scholarships for FSU student-athletes >> Funding the program (without you we would not have teams to cheer for) >> Away, post-season, neutral-site ticket priority >> Parking priority >> Invitations to special events >> Membership packet >> Member card with 10% discount to retail partners >> Subscription to Unconquered magazine Home ticket priority/rights are given to Per Seat Annual Fund members only. Tax note: Please consult your tax advisor about any tax impact and before claiming any deduction. At this time, no additional guidance has been provided by the IRS regarding the implementation and potential scope of this new federal tax law.

MEGHAN KING Softball “I am beyond blessed to have received a scholarship from Florida State University. Not only have I grown as a player at this institution but also tremendously as a person. With this scholarship, I have been able to put all of my efforts into my schoolwork and softball without having to worry about tuition like many other students. I am so thankful for the entire Seminole family and the countless hours and support that they give to all sports! 2019 S E M I N O LE S .CO M

OACH C KRIKORIAN “A National Championship doesn’t come without the dedication of the entire team — players, coaches, administrators and donors. Thank you for everything that you do. We use technology to help develop our players and wouldn’t have that without the support of Seminole Booster donors. With your continued dedication we will remain Unconquered.” 12

Gift amounts range from $100 to more than $1 million and include brick recognition on the Doak Campbell Stadium Legacy Walk or naming recognition, depending on the gift.

It’s estimated that the Florida State Seminoles fan base stretches to more than 4 million across the country and around the world. We are thankful for each and every fan who considers themselves Seminoles. Within that 4 million, we are thankful to have the support, commitment and participation from nearly 15,000 donors who help fund the program. It is our mission to fully fund the scholarship endowment, to increase annual membership, to build and enhance elite facilities, and to provide an excellent experience — on and off the field — for all student-athletes. This is only achievable with support from donors and the commitment to private gift funding. Thank you!
