Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel and Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel each earned the AAA Four Diamond Award® for 2012, the company announced. Seneca Niagara has now earned the prestigious award for seven consecutive years, while Seneca Allegany was recognized for the fourth year in a row. The Four Diamond Award® recognizes hotels that are upscale in all areas, providing guests with accommodations that are progressively more refined and stylish, according to AAA. “Our goal of providing exceptional service and a memorable experience to every guest during every visit is aligned with the Four Diamond criteria and we are honored to have been recognized for consistently achieving that goal,” said Karen Karsten, Chairman of the Seneca Gaming Corporation Board of Directors. “We believe that our properties continue to set the standard for luxury accommodations in the region.” Only 3.8 percent of the 59,000 AAA Diamond Rated establishments throughout North America and the Caribbean earn the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating. In 2012, AAA Western and Central New York honored a total of 14 hotels throughout Upstate New York. “It is no small success to achieve this exceptional recognition,” said Wally Smith, Vice President of AAA Western and Central New York. “AAA commends these properties for continuing to exceed our members’ and travelers’ expectations each and every day with outstanding service, amenities, and overall excellent guest experiences.”
SENECA CASINOS/FOUR DIAMOND 2-2-2-2 In order to achieve Four Diamond status, hotels must first meet stringent criteria and pass on-site evaluations. More than 65 AAA/CAA tourism editors visit hotels, campgrounds, restaurants, and attractions each year throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Tourism editors conduct unannounced evaluations of lodgings and restaurants, scrutinizing such areas as cleanliness, ambiance, amenities, and service. While the Seneca properties have developed a strong track record for worldclass service and accommodations, Seneca Gaming Corporation continues to refine the guest experience at each hotel. Earlier this year, the company completed a $8.4 million room renovation project at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, the largest hotel in Western New York. The project included new bedding, carpeting, furniture and wall coverings, as well as crown molding, lighting adjustments and other amenities in all of the hotel’s 486 deluxe rooms and 86 corner suites. Plans are now being developed for the renovation of the hotel’s 22 center suites. The 26-story hotel tower opened in 2005. At Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel, construction crews are working on a new $53 million hotel tower. The project will add approximately 200 rooms at the fullservice resort. Completion is targeted for next winter. The current hotel tower opened in 2007 and features 212 rooms. Since opening Seneca Niagara Casino in 2002, Seneca Gaming Corporation has grown to employ more than 3,700 people, making it one of the largest private employers in Western New York. Seneca Gaming Corporation operates world-class facilities offering more than 6,500 slot machines, 140 table games, 800 hotel rooms, a championship golf course and other related amenities.
