MAY 2014 LIVE REGIONAL MUSICAL ACTS AT SENECA CASINOS NIAGARA FALLS and SALAMANCA, N.Y. – Seneca Casinos’ two resort properties in Western New York continue to offer guests some of the region’s best live entertainment on its main gaming floors during the weekends. STIR at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Niagara Falls and Casino Bar at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca are the places to be for listening to high-energy musicians while enjoying drinks and gaming. STIR is located in the southwest corner of Seneca Niagara’s completely renovated main gaming floor and features a collection of sights, sounds and tastes that will thrill the senses. A massive 20- by 40-foot high-definition video wall with open views from across the gaming floor creates a focal point of activity and excitement. Casino Bar is located in the heart of Seneca Allegany’s gaming floor near the table games, and offers a vibrant gathering place for drinks and live entertainment. STIR will turn up the heat in May with the return of the STIR Dancers from the Las Vegas– based Blair Farrington Entertainment and Productions. The performances will make the already-exciting atmosphere absolutely electric on select Friday and Saturday nights. Three half-hour shows will take place each evening on May 16, 17, 23 and 24. In addition, a variety of new musical acts join the STIR lineup in May, including: 

Dal Bouey – Beautiful, high-energy vocalist and choreographer from Detroit

Dianne Ryder Band – Mississauga, Ont.–based pop band

Electric Blonde – Toronto-based variety band playing Top 40, classic rock, funk, Motown and anything that keeps the audience “dancing and singing along all night”


Ike Smith & The Boogie Monsters – Buffalo, N.Y.–based pop/rock band

Orient Express Band – Rochester, N.Y.–based variety band, playing many of today’s Top 40 hits

Soul Express – An off-shoot of Orient Express Band, focused on soul music

The Strictly Hip – One of Buffalo, N.Y.’s most well-known rock bands; nationallytouring group anchored by lead vocalist Jeremy Hoyle

White Chocolate Band – Buffalo, N.Y.–based pop/soul band providing “energypacked dance and party live music for all generations”

More fun is planned at STIR to celebrate special days throughout the month of May. On Saturday, May 3, the Kentucky Derby will be broadcasted live on the 20- by 40-foot highdefinition video wall. On Monday, May 5, STIR will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a mariachi performance by the Mariachi Gringos from 5 to 9 p.m. Extended entertainment will be available on Sunday, May 18 and Sunday, May 25 to celebrate the long weekends for the Victoria Day (Canada) and Memorial Day (U.S.) holidays. Finally, throughout the month on off-nights for entertainment, visitors can catch sports playoff games on the big screen. Casino Bar at Seneca Allegany will continue to offer many of the guest-favorite bands throughout May, with one new addition to the mix. On Sunday, May 18 from 4 to 8 p.m., Jamie Holka and Bruce Wojick will provide a variety of acoustic rock songs. Holka is a finger-style guitarist from Niagara Falls, N.Y. who has opened for a veritable who’s-who list of famous rock acts, including Steve Miller Band, Kansas, Todd Rundgren and Michael McDonald. Wojick, a multiple “Best Original Rock Guitarist” honoree from the Buffalo Music Awards, plays guitar and provides vocals for The Strictly Hip, the Buffalo N.Y.–based rock band that will play at STIR on Friday, May 23.
