OVERVIEW

A ‘sensory room’ is an environment that provides opportunities for students to regulate their sensory and emotional state. The equipment in the ‘room’ needs to be specifically selected with the student’s individual sensory needs in mind. It is recommended that the student’s sensory needs are identified through assessment by a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist.
