OOctober in New England is known for its stellar weather, harvest festivals, apple picking, and, of course, Halloween. There’s much to look forward to this month, but it’s also a time of change. September’s brilliant foliage turns brown, falling to the ground and leaving the trees bare. After wearing short sleeves at the beginning of the month, we often fi nd ourselves scraping ice from our windshields by its end. This October also brings changes to my family. After living away from home for the last fi ve years, Madelaine, our grown-up daughter, is living with my husband and me FIND again. It’s been a diffi cult transition at times. We’re all diff erent people than we were US when she left for college in fall 2016. Learning to regard one another as adults and respect each other’s space has frequently been a challenge. ON But there has been joy as well. Having the opportunity to sit with Madelaine in the evenings, when she comes home from her job at an educational nonprofi t, and talk SOCIAL with her about her day often makes the domestic challenges we’ve been facing seem MEDIA trivial. I couldn’t be more proud or feel more satisfi ed as a parent, knowing the hard work we invested in raising her has resulted in a talented, passionate adult who is working toward making the world a better place. I’m also reminded that growth is the ultimate outcome of many of the challenges FACEBOOK we successfully tackle. (As my mother used to say, “A smooth sea never made a skillLike Sensi Media ful sailor.”) And whether it’s getting vaccinated for COVID-19 or cleaning out a closet Group to infuse your newsfeed with more to make space for someone else’s things, our eff orts to take care of one another and of our great cannabis ourselves often pay off in ways we never imagined. lifestyle content.
