Trimble Field Solutions Trimble Robotic Total Stations and 3D scanners allow you to both layout your MEP services as designed, as well as create point clouds for as built construction. Perfect for taking BIM to the Field and back again.

Robotic Total Station

Trimble Field Link for MEP is the ideal solution to accurately link your 3D design model to the field for accurate layout of MEP systems, with emphasis being placed on Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Field Layout Benefit Trimble robotic total stations provide continuous measurement information for the accurate layout of your design data. On the job-site you can set-up the total station in a convenient, visible location and perform positioning up to 700 meters away with the prism pole.

2D & 3D Job Data in the Field Easily visualise and then layout field points such as wall penetrations, hanger locations, cable tray attachments and stub-up locations within a 3D environment. Within the Model Viewer feature, easily toggle layer and background controls for increased visibility into problem areas. By importing a design file into the Trimble Field Link software, points can be created in the field using Trimble Field Link or in the office using Trimble Field Points.

Simple Layout Interface A list of points to be staked is created eliminating the need for field crews to “skip” points that do not need to be staked.

Users have the ability to customise their view of the layout screen to view in full-screen mode, view as list, view as 2D overhead map, and view as 3D map. “Bullseye” view in layout mode displays horizontal and vertical intolerance notifications when prism is near the field point.

Trimble Field Points is designed for the MEP contractor utilising CAD or Revit® and needing the ability to easily create 2D and 3D field points within their preferred design file.

3D Scanning Solution

For MEP contractors involved in renovation projects, Trimble’s 3D scanning solutions provide a cost effective and efficient method for gathering existing locations of systems. Collect as-built conditions in the field, create accurate 3D models and export scan data to popular CAD/BIM packages to jump-start your MEP estimating and detailing tasks.

Its high-resolution camera sensor and powerful Android tablet makes the solution as effective for contractors as it is approachable.

Trimble RealWorks Point Cloud Modelling Software The Trimble RealWorks point cloud modelling software enables you to register, visualise, explore and manipulate as-built data collected. Once your collected point cloud is registered within Trimble RealWorks, you can easily view data, take measurements, run analysis and create accurate 3D models to share with your project team.

Rapid Positioning System

The Trimble Rapid Positioning System includes the RPT600 Layout Tool and Trimble Field Link 2D. Created especially for common layout jobs on the construction site, it’s got everything you need to measure positions faster, more easily and more accurately.

Simplified Overhead Layout Ceiling layout demands a tool that will go straight-up. With the unique twin-handle design the RPT600 delivers 300° of vertical tilt for easy overhead measurements.

Easy Setup No matter where the tool is placed, setup is fast and automatic.

Set the RPT600 on a tripod or attach it to a stationary element on the work-site. Trimble Autostationing technology lets the system self-locate relative to the project you are working on. No levelling required.

SysQue Pipe SysQue Pipe enables real manufacturers‘ content to be modelled by designers and contractors in systems with construction and fabrication levels of development (LOD 300 and 400) including pipe connectivity, true cut length, fitting counts, and auto flanges. With SysQue, Revit® MEP is able to support saddle taps on pipes. The associated PDF with specifications is also accessible directly in native Revit®.

SysQue Duct When you draw with SysQue Duct, you’re using industry verified* HVAC Duct Construction Standards, including Ductwork Pressure Classes, directly in Revit®. SysQue also includes saddle taps and allows flat/round or round/round in one system. The associated PDF with specifications is also accessible directly in native Revit®.

SysQue BOM SysQue BOM creates a detailed BOM (bill of material) and exports the reports (labour values, material cost, procurement part numbers, etc.) directly from Revit® MEP to Microsoft® Excel®. The BOM is created to LOD 400 constructible definitions (suitable for fabrication and assembly) as defined by the AIA BIM standards. This service reports live directly from the cloud that is home to hundreds of thousands of line items.
