In rib knitting machines, one set of needles is present on the vertical cylinder circumference and other one on the horizontal cylinder. Both the needles sets present at the 90 degree angle to each other. Only the dial and cylinder is rotating whereas the cam systems along with the feeders remain fixed. The dial needles is moving through its butt which is positioned on the cam truck. The needles of cylinder is moving vertically whereas the dial needles moves in horizontal direction.
