2022 Korea Coffee League EVENT

The Korea Coffee League(KCL) is a representative coffee competition in Korea aimed at qualitative development of the Korean coffee industry and finding and fostering technical talents.

Korea Barista Championship(KBC)

Starting in 2003, Korea Barista Championship was the first barista championship competition in Korea to be open fully to the public audience. In 2022, competitors who freely chose coffee beans presented 4 cups of espresso for 15 minutes in Round 1 and 4 cups of creative menu for 20 minute in Round 2.

Korea TEAM Barista Championship(KTBC)

KCL's only team competition Korea TEAM Barista Championship(KTBC). It is a team competition in which three baristas form a team and compete, demonstrating their individual abilities as well as teamwork. Making all the menus quickly and accurately within the time limit and serving drinks in the order instructed is the way to earn points. 30 menus were presented during the finals for 20 minutes.

Master of Cupping(MOC)

As more and more people are becoming interested in the different types of coffee from different producing countries, MOC was created to increase the level of understanding in cupping. The participants at MOC had to sort different types of randomly mixed coffee by their origins within the allotted time.

Master of Brewing(MOB)

The competitors had to choose their own green beans among the o fficial beans, roasted them, and used these beans to create their own recipe i n 10minutes. During the competition, the contestants created their original menu.
