nuovi lavori di questo 2013 che stanno portando i tori tra le costellazioni, siano esse inventate o sotto il vero cielo della costellazione del toro, sono un’evoluzione (forse l’ultima?) del mio percorso che è iniziato nel 2000 dopo il viaggio a Creta. All’inizio, ispirato da quel viaggio, ho iniziato a disegnare piccoli tori, piccole mandrie che poi negli anni si sono ingrandite e colorate di rosso, quel colore così forte che ormai mi contraddistingue e che è un aggettivo rafforzativo del già forte valore simbolico dell’animale. Poi sono diventate mandria di cartapesta dalle dimensioni quasi naturali e tra poco installazione su un crinale di fronte a Montegemoli. Ma perché adesso sono costellazioni?
Perché stanno perdendo la loro forza, energia e movimento? Come tutto, si stanno trasformando, più precisamente,si stanno catasterizzando. In mitologia il catasterismo è quel processo in cui eroi e alcuni animali e divinità, alla loro morte o sacrificio, naturale o per volontà divina, venivano trasformati in astri o costellazioni e così fissate per l’eternità nel pensiero e nelle storie delle genti. Non hanno il movimento della mandria, ma adesso sono eterni. Così lo sono per me, fissate per sempre nel mio cuore.

y brand new works by this 2013 that are bringing the bulls among the constellations, whether invented or under real sky in the constellation of Taurus, are an evolution (perhaps the last?) of my career that started in 2000 after the trip to Crete. Quest anno prevedo che sarà un’invasione di nuove costellazioni, sia in forma pittorica, di installazioni, di land art, di libretti, di corsi con i bambini. Tutto, o quasi, sarà dedicato al cielo, al catesterismo del toro, allo studio giocoso delle stelle . LS
site specific land art installation on a ridge in front of Montegemoli, for the biennale M’arte.. But why now are constellations? Why are losing their strength, energy and movement? Like everything, they are transforming, it’s a catasterization. In the mythology, catasterizaton is the process in which the heroes and some animals and deities, to their death or sacrifice, natural or divine will, were transformed into stars or constellations ... and so fixed for eternity in thought and in the stories of the people. Now they have not the movement of the herd, but now are eternal. So they are for me, fixed forever in my heart. This year I predict will be an invasion of new constellations, both in pictorial form, installations, land art, art books, children courses. Everything, or almost, will be dedicated to the sky, to the bulls catasterization, in a playful study of stars...
