Sanded Simple and elegant. Combined with the subtle surface structure, Oak Snow Harmony is light and harmonious.
Inspiration for your design The possible combinations of wood, colour, surface, grading and finish are so many that we can only present a few examples to inspire you. Single plank gradings Wooden floors transform homes into exceptional habitats. Each piece of wood is unique in its colour and structure. The grading is a question of personal taste and not a sign of quality; it only describes the appearance and structure of the wood. Wood is a natural product with a wide variety of structures and colours. A sample may not match the delivered product and cannot convey the impression of a laid floor. Light will change the colour of the wood. This is a normal characteristic of wood.

Single plank Gradings The Harmony grading creates a quiet look that is accentuated by the occasional knot. The Country grading is vibrant and expressive – healthy knots and brown hearts underline the balanced colour shades. The pu ied cracks, joints and distinctive knots of the Alpine grading create a vivacious and impulsive play of colours. Our pine woods are graded as Standard and Rustikal. These woods enable you to create an interior ranging from quiet and natural to traditional and rustic.

Surfaces, colour tones and designs Wide selection of pa erns and colours ranging from classic-elegant brown tones to modern cream and white tones.
Natural raw material The bark of the cork oak is a natural, organic material that is durable and creates a warm and pleasant ambiance. The cork oak grows around the Western Mediterranean. The bark of the cork oak is harvested every 9 to 15 years by peeling it off the tree. This is a non-invasive process that is carried out as carefully as possible. The cork oak is a very important agricultural resource, especially in the cork-producing regions of Portugal and Spain. The cork oak is the main tree in the complex, species-rich ecosystems of its natural habitat, the preservation of which is guaranteed by using the tree.
Cork is a natural product Cork is a high-quality natural flooring material. Colour deviations are natural and unavoidable. We recommend mixing the individual tiles before installation in order to create a natural and vibrant surface. Enjoy the unique character of tilo‘s natural, prefab cork floors.

Surfaces, colours and pa erns Large selection of pa erns, colours and samples ranging from classic-elegant natural tones to fineline pa erns and reliefs through to trendy, modern colours.
Natural raw material Linoleum was developed in the 19th century and consists primarily of natural oils, natural resins, and organic and anorganic filling agents (mainly cork and wood shavings). The benefits of this classic flooring material for the environment and home comfort are obvious: tried and tested and with a tilo pa ern, our linoleum flooring is made for a modern lifestyle.
Drying room yellow or yellow cast Linoleum contains natural oils that change the colour of the material. The yellow cast that you will see when you unpack the tiles is also known as drying room yellow and will slowly disappear a er exposure to natural or artificial light. The raw material used in tilo‘s linoleum flooring are primarily natural. The yellow cast is a natural phenomenon that occurs during the manufacturing process due to the oxidation of the linseed oil and can result in slight differences in colour and structure between the batches. We also cannot guarantee that the showroom samples will match the tiles you actually buy.

Wood decking Durability classes Many types of wood have a natural chemical protection against external influences, such as fungi and insects. Inspired by nature, tilo has developed processes that can be used both individually and in combination that make its outdoor products as durable as possible. tilo‘s 100% biodegradable thermal wood and Natwood® processes protect the products on the surface and below for many years. The European Standard EN 350-1 (EN 113) distinguishes five durability classes: Class 1: very durable > 25 years* Class 2: durable, approx. 15-25 years* Class 3: moderately durable, approx. 10-15 years* Class 4: slightly durable, approx. 5-10 years* Class 5: not durable, approx. 2-5 years* *Approximate value: depends highly on the area of application
Thermal treatment Thermal treatment consists of subjecting the wood to temperatures of up to 180°C over a longer period of time (20 to 25 hours). This significantly increases the wood‘s resistance to fungi and wood pests as well as its dimensional stability. Based on the intensity of the treatment, the wood acquires a sophisticated, more or less dark colour ranging from reddish brown to black. This effect puts tilo outdoor products on the same aesthetic footing as exclusive dark tropical woods.
Natwood® – The revolution in timber The patented Natwood® process consists of three steps: heating, treating, cooling. A er the heat treatment, natural tree resins are pressed into the wood. The complex deep-action ‚amber‘ treatment coats the cell walls with a water-resistant layer. The last step consists of carefully cooling the wood in the cooling chamber, making the resin as robust and durable as amber.

Care Care steps Caring for your decking provides it with a protective coating that increases its resistance to weather and considerably extends its already long useful life. Proper care makes the decking more resistant to environmental influences and wear. Sings of usage are typical features of wood and although they cannot be prevented in the long term, the right care can reduce and delay them.
Remove dust, sand, loose dirt, etc. with a broom
Pour a sufficient amount of undiluted tilo wood decking maintenance oil into the paint tray
Immerse the brush in the paint tray and let it drip off. Apply the natural or brown maintenance oil sparingly in the direction of the fibres (avoid the formation of puddles)

Research and innovation The native hardwood alternative for the outdoor area Research and development We have been working with wood for 60 years and know every facet of its application and processing. In association with IFA Tulln (Department for Agrobiotechnology), we have developed a new process that optimises the resilience, hardness and dimensional stability of wood: Natwood®. Ecological, building biological, and a revolution for the user.
Insights Treating wood improves its properties considerably: exceptionally high resistance to water, even in areas with high fluctuations in temperature and humidity (the smooth and sealed surface increases the durability of the product by two to four classes depending on the species of wood and level of treatment) significantly lower risk of crack formation (especially on the short ends, in planks and around the tongue and groove) very high surface hardness, no spli ing and indentations, up to 100 % increase in hardness according to the Brinell scale (depends on the type of wood and level of treatment) pores are coated with natural resin, reducing the amount of dirt in the pores high form and dimensional stability significantly less swelling and shrinking (very li le warpage) improved screw tensile strength increased resistance to termites, insects and fungi more climate-friendly CO2 storage (by using only raw material that is renewable) Conventional planing, cu ing and milling tools can be used on the wood.

The hardness grade of a wood type is an important indicator of the wear and impression resistance to be expected.
Beech steamed
Brinell hardness comparison A wood‘s hardness can be determined by the Brinell hardness test. The test consists of pressing a steel ball with a diameter of 10 mm against the surface of the wood. The material‘s Brinell hardness is determined by the size of the indentation and the force applied to the ball. The higher the Brinell hardness, the harder the wood. Indicated hardnesses are always average values. The hardness of wood can vary depending on where the tree grew and how it was cut (all woods are harder when cut lengthwise to the fibre).
