(Knowledge Center) In partnership with the Brazilian Association of Graphic Technology – ABTG, the 2nd edition of the Large Format Printing Symposium was held, where new ideas and possible paths for the sector to take have been discussed.
One of the biggest successes and novelty of this edition was the Digital Textile Conference, organized by WTiN (World Textile Information Network Ltd), one of the largest portals of the segment. The Conference addressed the scenario of digital textile market that gained much importance in Brazil due to strong demand for apparel fabrics.
The Knowledge Center also held the 16th edition of Acrylic Forum, organized by Indac - National Institute for the Development of Acrylic, whose theme was “The acrylic against the crisis.”

The Sign in Action proposal was to guide and provide participants with an experience with the evolution of raw materials used in the visual communication market, which presented the processes from start to finish.
SIGN Cultural was an initiative of the RS Projetos with the fair, where lecture rounds were held on the world of Outdoor Advertising.
For the fourth consecutive time, the Brazilian Championship of Automotive Enveloping, CAMBEA #5, sponsored by Plastics Alko, has been held. Divided into categories, the championship was a great opportunity for professionals to display their skills in car enveloping.
Exhibitors’ statements: This is the 19th consecutive year that we attend Serigrafia SIGN. Next year, it will be 20 years. That is, all this time shows the fair is necessary for any company in the market. In times of crisis, we need to invest. However, even knee-deep in crisis, people came. We had many people visiting us on the first day and the following days, visitors from many countries, which made us very excited! The fair shows its own potential remains intact, as well as the name it made for itself in the international and national scene. Oscar Guiñazú – Director - Danfex
Being here, in the largest fair in the market, is important to give peace of mind not only to our customers, but also employees in the midst of this crisis scenario in which we are passing through. That is, if they see that the company continues to invest in, with senior management motivated, these employees feel safe and are driven to work even harder. So the whole company feels motivated! Luis Felipe Marketing Department Kent do Brasil
It was an amazing surprise to see the fair at full capacity! This shows not only there is a market, but also people interested in novelties. And our role as exhibitors and manufacturers is to show these new possibilities to those people, so they remain excited, whether in decoration or any other area. Here at Serigrafia SIGN FutureTEXTIL, the idea is to show not only a machine, but also cases and ideas of what is possible within the digital printing market. After all, the printing is the “easy” part of it. What the user will do with it; that is another story. At that point, the fair is a great opportunity for this! Edissa Furlan - Marketing Manager – HP do Brasil
We have been participating in this fair for over 20 years and every year Serigrafia SIGN has never let us down. Never. Another very good thing about being here is that, in fact, it is possible to prove this crisis we live in is much more political/moral than economic. The fair is our thermometer and with it the way it is, we can say that things are not as ugly as they seem. Ingo Mogk - Industrial Director – Mogk
To us, the fair is the most important moment for us to show what we have and also to meet new and old customers. It is time to deepen this relationship and to understand what these customers want a little better so that we can improve our products. Serigrafia SIGN allows us, literally, to get to know the market and understand new needs. This should guide the manufacturers so that they could develop new products. From the visitor’s point of view, this is his chance to stay up-to-date, to know more about the market and to seek novelties, so that he may face this scenario. This is where he can compare prices, technologies and talk to the entire market! Eduardo Vaz - Sales Manager at Graphic Division – Fujifilm
Visitors’ statements ‘‘I’m from Santos and this is the first time I visit the fair. I work with gifts and printing, and I saw many new machines in the printing industry and that thrilled me. In addition to make my job easier, I save a lot in making the product. I am interested in investing and improving my business. I intend to return in the future and catch up on the novelties.’’
“We attended the fair a few years ago and stayed for printing materials and rigid substrate. We found a wide range and by changing the location, more people came focused on business, a more qualified target audience. In the stands, the exhibitors were able to pay more attention to stakeholders like us. We have been exchanging information and we hope to do business soon.”
“We work with gift customization and we are in Rio de Janeiro. It is the first time we came to the fair and we think it is great, much better than the Rio Centro and three times larger. We made some partnerships and contacts to do business afterwards.”
