Cork – the fascinating noble natural product The cork oak produces something valuable: Cork bark, the trunk’s protective layer that grows back all the time. This natural product is ground to granulated cork and provides the main component of each FinnComfort® footbed.
Natural rubber – ecological and sustainable The “tear of the tree”, i.e. the milky sap, is extracted by grazing the bark of the rubber tree. In the FinnComfort® footbed, natural rubber serves as base for the elastic cushioning material as well as the binding and adhesive material for cork footbed and cover leather.
