THE WITCHES: POETRY THROUGH YOUNG LEARNERS EXPERIENCES
By Junior VII A-B
There was a beautiful lady As pretty as a rose And, she had no toes
And a powerful nose. She had powerful eyes But if you look in the center You can see fire and ice
She made horrible things. With her formula 86 In some seconds BooM You will be an ugly mouse. She is the strongest and the smartest. She had a terrible accent Have you guessed who she is? She is the Grand High Witch! SOLANA B., JUANITA C., MARTINA D., NICOLETTA G., LUZ M.M.
THE GRAND HIGH WITCH They call her ’your grandness’ She is the meanest of all If you look at her face She`s as ugly as an owl. To get rid of all children Is her greatest goal And with the mouse-maker She thinks she can kill them all Her majestic powers Should be feared of
And will make you burn Till your bones turn black If you are a child, run, run and run Cause this absolutely terrifying witch Can easily make you suffer, Get twisted, and shuffled Her powerful powers will make you go boom She’s as evil as the devil And will break you into two If you ever meet her You’ll scream, scream and scream louder. GRANDMAMMA My gorgeous grandmother Is better than any other. She is as gentle as a lamb And she has a huge heart. While she smokes I stare at her hand I wonder what happened To her missing thumb. Her stories were great Although I thought they were fake Until something changed my mind When Boom!I saw fear through her eyes. Thanks to her strange stories I am who I am, Thanks to her strange stories I am still alive.

GRANDMAMMA In Norway, the rise of my grandmother´s sake.
In that cold country the witches were as many as an army. Cigars were smoked by my grandmother and got pneumonia soon after. Pneumonia was no problem to her,
she got well and went to the hotel Grandmamma was so wrinkled and old. She was very very fat, that a boy could fit inside. In the past, she hunted witches in forests, cities and beaches. Witchophile, that´s how it’s called grandmamma’s job.

BOY He lives in England with his grandmother And he doesn´t have any mother or father. He is not very sad Even though he looks very bad. He is a very smart boy as smart as a dog. He doesn´t play with any toy, But he is happily happy even though.
He was a very normal child Until the witches appeared and ruined his life. When he turned into a mouse, OUCH, he said and dashed to his house. He tries to help all the time,
A very helpful child he has become. He wants the world to be safe but we don´t even know his own name.
