GO INSIDE WITH LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER The charity is helping people living with cancer feel themselves once more
J
ILLIAN attended a Look Good Feel Better meditation and breathwork workshop online to see if it could help her with her cancer recovery, but what she got out of it was so much more. “I learnt about the benefits of meditation and felt calmer for doing the class, but also made a friend through the speaker asking us to introduce ourselves,” says Jillian. “I met a lady who lived round the corner from me, and we agreed to meet up after the class.”
“Covid has made cancer treatment so lonely, so I was pleased to meet someone who had gone through cancer too” The charity provides wellbeing workshops for men, women and young adults living with cancer. From skincare and makeup, to gentle exercise, the charity aims to help with appearance-related issues as a result of cancer treatment. They also tackle emotional issues such as loneliness, depression and anxiety. Most importantly, it gave Jillian an opportunity to meet other people in the same situation.
