Auction Rules & Regulations SILENT AUCTION BIDDING RULES 1.
Each item has a bid sheet listing the minimum acceptable bid and minimum raise. To enter a bid, PRINT YOUR BID NUMBER NEXT TO THE PRE-PRINTED MINIMUM RAISE on the bid sheet corresponding to the item you desire.
2.
Each new bid must exceed the previous bid by the minimum raise on the bid sheet or it will be disqualified.
3.
Should there be a sealed bid for a given item, the sealed bid will become the opening bid if it is of equal or greater value than the minimum bid.
4.
The closing bid will be determined by an Auction Official constituting the winning bid. Bids entered at, or after, the closing bell will not be valid.
5.
In the event of a dispute, the Auction Official shall act as the final authority. Hotly contested items are subject to “Live� closing by auction officials. Such closing will be done immediately following the close of the category containing the contested item, or taken to the Live Auction, and the decision of the Auction Official shall be final.
LIVE AUCTION BIDDING RULES 1.
To enter a bid, the bidder raises her/his hand or numbered paddle to the Auctioneer or one of the Spotters.
2.
The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be the Buyer. In the event of a dispute, the Auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder. In specific cases the Auctioneer may re-auction the item in dispute.
3.
Should there be a sealed bid that is higher than the winning floor bid, the winning floor bidder will have the opportunity to bid against it.
PICK-UP/PAYMENT INFORMATION 1.
Winning bidders will receive listings of the items won and the amount due. Pick-up information will be included.
2.
Pick-up and final payment for all auction items will be after the Silent Auction closes on Saturday, April 18, 2015. All items purchased must be removed from event location immediately after the auction.
3.
Cash and personal checks (made out to Sewickley Academy ) are preferred. American Express, MasterCard, Discover, and VISA are acceptable.

We witnessed this last January when Pittsburgh’s Attack Theatre brought their innovative modern dance, art, music, and multimedia experience to our school, thanks to the support of the Home & School Association, offering performances and workshops. Most seaside resorts, after Labor Day passes, are ghost towns.
