South Carolina Agritourism Association Farms aren’t just for food any more. The South Carolina Agritourism Association (SCAA) helps farmers develop and implement strategies for marketing and selling “the farm experience” to an ever-growing audience of interested visitors. SCAA offers agritourism farmers the opportunity to network with peers, share best practices, and find answers to challenges like admission tax and liability insurance. Created by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, SCAA helps its members attract tourists to the more rural areas of the state and capitalize on the strong local food movement and the opportunity to put a price tag on agritourism attractions.
