The Housing Authority will provide housing for individuals/families on the waitlist as housing becomes available and as the individual reaches the top of the list. 5. How does the Housing Authority decide to close the waitlist? The Housing Authority closes its waitlist when it no longer believes it can meet the housing needs of the list. The timeframe is provided in Chapter 4 of the proposed plan. 6. Why did the Housing Authority remove the proposed policy regarding annual criminal background checks? This was suggested at one of the Annual Plan Meetings and after reviewing the policy, the Housing Authority agreed that at this time, this would be a burden to both the family and the Housing Authority. 1815 EGBERT AVENUE, 3RD FLOOR SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA 94124 TELEPHONE: (415) 715-3951 TTY: 415.467.6754 WWW .SFHA.ORG
