REFLEXT EDITORIAL DESIGN OVERVIEW Reflext is a typography project where I selected a descriptive word to base a magazine concept on, developed a template design, branding, cover, table of contents, and sections. SOLUTION Reflext is an art and literature magazine for recent college graduates by recent college graduates. The literature highlights the highs and lows of life after college while the imagery captures a more youthful feel that adds character to the magazine. This style was consistent throughout the magazine to fill a need in the market that was not being met.

DUBLINERS REDESIGN OVERVIEW This project was a redesign of s selection of short stories from James Joyce’s Dubliners.

SOLUTION The design was inspired by the social media platform “Tumblr”. The idea was to capture the feeling of Tumblr by altering the designs based off of the feel of each individual story and protagonist. This is to bring James Joyce’s writing into modern times and to appeal to the younger generation. My target audience is much more well versed with social platforms than stories, like the ones from Dubliners, which are from a very different style of life.

SOLUTION This font is based on the multi-dimensionality of the transportation hub in Daly City. Between Bart, surface streets, pedestrian crosswalks, and the pedestrian tunnel, there are a lot of choices on how you want to get from point A to point B.

HEARTS OF SF WEBSITE DESIGN OVERVIEW Hearts of SF is a website that allows users to take a virtual tour of the heart sculptures around San Francisco.

SOLUTION The website uses a variety of digital media to allow users to experience the heart sculptures as they are around San Francisco. I used photosynth to recreate a 3D view of the sculptures and took audio recordings so users could experience the sounds of the area while they looked at the heart.
