Yodel Magazine is a quarterly magazine “for the modern explorer.” It’s an outdoor/adventure lifestyle, that encourages readers to get out and explore. Yodel’s main target audience is for a young adult crowd, and their admiration for the outdoors. This magazine

features reader submitted adventures, travel tips and insight for readers. Due to my fondness for the outdoors, I was inspired to create a wilderness quarterly.
process+research The research process for Yodel, began by finding current outdoor lifestyle magazines. The concept for this magazine was based off of current quarterly lifestyle magazines such as, Cereal and

iteration After brainstorming magazine titles, I began experimenting with masthead and logo designs. My design intention was to choose typefaces that best represented the outdoors for the modern explorer.
After I had a design direction for masthead and logo, I mocked up cover layouts. A full-page image was my ultimate decision when choosing a final cover.

final design The final concept of the magazine featured is a travel journal based on a modern explorer’s summer adventures. I incorporated my inspiration by including clean borders and vivid imagery. The final masthead featured is made up of

This would provide me with essential information before I furthered my app process. My concept stemmed from Wunderlist, however it lacked features that I needed to be a

Pink’s Grill is a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant located in Fairfield, CA. The objective of the project is to rebrand a logo and graphic identity for a restaurant of our choosing. Pink’s Grill has a strong

audience profile however, their current logo can be deceiving. My focus is to define and communicate the Hawaiian heritage into the final logo.

bees knees Ai

infographic design
In 2006 a steady decline in honeybees was recognized as a national problem. Although the bee population is slowly growing from 2006 this is an issue that still needs awareness. Honey bees are essential to our agriculture. There are over 90 crops in the U.S. (120 worldwide) that depend on honey
bee pollination for growth and substantial crop yield. 1 in 3 bites Americans eat are pollinated by honey bees. I brought awareness to the problem by creating an infographic.
portfolio | 47
process+research The research process for creating the Bees Knees infographic was gathering data from multiple sources based on the decline of honey bees. I researched annual decline nationally, as well as locally in California. I also researched

how beneficial benefit are for our crops, and our dependency of their pollination. After gathering the data, producing the graphs was the next step. When creating graphs, I utilized RStudio, Google Sheets, and Adobe Illustrator.

7 Principles Ai

A study about raising awareness of preserving our environment based on Leave No Trace’s Seven Principles. This project entails research of tourists’ and beginner outdoor enthusiasts’ current knowledge of their awareness on harmful impacts affecting the environment.
awareness campaign
There will be three parts to the campaign–7 Principles website, informational deck and badges. These products will encourage and educate users to put these principles into action before visiting a National Park Service location.
process+research This study is meant to help raise awareness for our harmful affects on our environment. This study serves everyone in the community because it is important that we own our actions and impacts on the environment, especially at our National Parks. If we do so, future generations will be able
