WHAT DOES THE ANNUAL FUND SUPPORT?
The UHS and Breakthrough Summerbridge Annual Fund provides dollars for the operating budget and enables the school to say yes to new initiatives, projects, and programming each year. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide the greatest flexibility in funding the school's most immediate needs including:
Serving as the primary program through which UHS delivers on its public purpose, Breakthrough Summerbridge yields results.
95% of students go on to enroll in college preparatory high schools and 80% go on to four-year colleges and universities.
Our interscholastic athletic program supports student-athletes to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, socially through the challenges of athletic discipline, team participation, and interscholastic competition. OUR GOAL $2.7M
The Annual Fund empowers us to build and sustain a diverse learning community and supports the 21% of students participating in the Financial Aid Program. UHS is committed to seeking and enrolling students from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and meeting their financial needs to ensure that they can engage fully in the UHS experience.
Last year, gifts of $500 or less amounted to more than $100K to Annual Giving. That's enough to fund 7 typical financial aid grants.
