On 28 February, Members and guests gained a better understanding of the turbulent art world of 20 th century Singapore at the Asian Civilisation Museum where SCC Member Darlene Kasten led an exclusive tour of the collection of Singapore’s renowned art collector Dr Tan Tsze Chor.

SCC Ladies’ Night

Members and guests commemorated International Women’s Day on 18 March at the SCC Ladies’ Night. Chef and restaurateur Jenny Pang presented a specially curated 4-course dinner while guest mixologist and Hendrick’s Gin brand ambassador Charmaine Ann Thio brought flair and creativity to the table with a presentation of four exclusively concocted Hendrick’s cocktails. The night ended with an interactive and hilarious Mamma Mia-style performance that got everyone involved.

The 14 th SCC Wine and Gourmet Series brought Members and guests on a journey of some of the finest drops from France. Held on 21 February, they got to experience lively and enticing French flavours paired with an intricate and luxurious 5-course dinner prepared by the skilled culinary team at The Padang Restaurant.

Book Launch Celebrating Singapore’s Sporting Heritage

On 18 March 2019, SCC Member and former academic Nick Aplin launched his latest book titled “Sport in Singapore: The Colonial Legacy” in Gilmour Room. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu was the guest of honour at the event.
