The Campus Activities Network Amendment of 2015 Whereas,

the Campus Activities Network was established by the Student Government of Loyola Chicago to serve the collective interest of the Registered Student Organizations of Loyola University Chicago, and

Whereas,

the Campus Activities Network serves a purpose that builds upon and advances the broader purpose of the office of Student Activities and Greek Affairs, and

Whereas,

the administration and maintenance of the Campus Activities Network requires significant direct oversight by the office of Student Activities and Greek Affairs,

Therefore,

be it resolved that the office of Student Activities and Greek Affairs shall hereafter serve as the direct administrator and regulatory authority of the Campus Activities Network, and

Therefore,

be it resolved that the title of the Chief of Student Organizations shall hereafter be “Director of Student Organization Affairs,” and that the Director of Student Organization Affairs shall not serve as the default chair of the Campus Activities Network, but shall maintain a seat on the Executive Board of the Campus Activities Network, and shall possess all of the rights and responsibilities associated therein, and

Therefore,

be it resolved that the following changes be made to the Articles of Governance, effective immediately upon the conclusion of the 2014-2015 term of the Student Government of Loyola Chicago:

1. Article 19: Campus Activities Network shall, in its entirety, be stricken. All subsequent articles shall be renumbered accordingly.

2. Article 15 §5. Vice President shall be amended as follows: a. Subsection E shall, in its entirety, be stricken. b. Subsection F shall take the place of subsection E. 3. Article 15 §8. Chief of Student Organizations shall be retitled and amended to read as follows: §8. Director of Student Organization Affairs (A) The Director of Student Organization Affairs, hereafter referred to as the DSOA, shall serve as a liaison between student organizations, the office of Student Activities and Greek Affairs, and the SGLC.

(B) The DSOA shall be a voting member of the Campus Activities Network Executive Board, and shall maintain all rights and responsibilities associated therein.

(C) The DSOA shall deliver a report on behalf of the SGLC at each scheduled meeting of the Campus Activities Network General Assembly.

(D) The DSOA shall deliver a monthly report to the Senate on behalf of the Campus Activities Network and the student organization community.

(E) The DSOA shall be responsible for any further duties assigned by the President.

4. Article 24 ยง1. Election Periods shall be amended as follows: a. Part iv. of subsection A shall, in its entirety, be stricken.
