Kultistrip
Strip-till for row crops
Strip-till saves costs and ensures high yields
Strip till with state-of-the-art engineering
Focus on the essentials The new Kultistrip is Kverneland’s answer for strip-till, an innovative tillage procedure for row cultures such as maize, sugar beet, sunflower or rape seed. It works by only preparing the soil where the crop is supposed to grow. Depending on the intended width of the row, up to 70% of the soil surface is not worked. This not only protects the soil against erosion and drying but also reduces the tillage costs.
The benefits are obvious: Strip-till improves the water absorption and storage. The soil is better protected against erosion – soil loss and soil drying are slowed down. A residue-free, deeply loosened seedbed ensures high emergence and deep root formation. In one and the same pass, fertiliser may be placed exactly where the plant needs it at particular growth stages.

The field remains negotiable even in difficult weather conditions, this means seeding can be done earlier and makes driving on the field for crop care and harvesting work simpler.

Five steps to a clean and uniform seedbed 1. The large cutting disc cuts through crop residue and opens the soil. 2. The trash wheels create a uniform seedbed that is free of residues. 3. Special shares break-up the soil down to a depth of 30 cm. Depending on the soil conditions, three different forms of share can be used – this allows working speeds of as high as 12 km/h. 4. Variably adjustable strip limitation disc define the width and the shape of the strip (e.g. a small dam). 5. V-shaped pressure rollers, grid rollers or Farmflex rollers reconsolidate the soil. In combination with a fertiliser tank, a fertiliser deposit can be placed at a freely selectable depth in the same pass. As an alternative, the Kultistrip can also be used to work semi-liquid manure into the soil.
Perfectly adapted to your conditions! In use, the Kultistrip proves itself by its sturdy construction and perfect adaptation to the soil surface. Thanks to the robust, spring-loaded parallelogram suspension, each individual row follows the contour of
Unique: always the right setting – completely without tools The Kverneland Kultistrip is especially operator-friendly. All settings can be adjusted without tools minimum maintenance is required. A special feature is the separa-

te adjustment of the break-up share and fertiliser injector. This means that you can change the working depth whilst keeping the fertiliser placement the same, or alternatively, change the level of the fertiliser injection while leaving the working depth unchanged.
