9A Registration: New Supply Meter Points

9A.1 For the purposes of the Code:

(a) the "Chosen User" is a User who is nominated by a consumer as the consumer's gas supplier in accordance with the New I&C Connection Procedures;

(b) the "Commissioning User" has the meaning given in the New Domestic Connection Procedures;

(c) the “Default User” has the meaning given in the New I&C Connection Procedures;

(d) a "New Domestic Connection" has the meaning given in the New Domestic Connection Procedures;

(e) the "New Domestic Connection Procedures" are the procedures of that name prepared and maintained by the Operator and applying in respect of New Meter Points;

(f) a “New Domestic Meter Point” is a Supply Meter Point located at a New Domestic Connection;

(g) a “New I&C Connection” has the meaning given in the New I&C Connection Procedures;

(h) the “New I&C Connection Procedure” are the procedures of that name prepared and maintained by the Operator and applying in respect of New I&C Meter Points;

(i) a “New I&C Meter Point” is a Supply Meter Point located at a New I&C Connection; and

(j) the “Preferred User” is a User who is nominated by a consumer as the consumer’s preferred gas supplier in accordance with the New Domestic Connection Procedures (referred to as the “Nominated Registered User” in the New Domestic Connection Procedure).

9A.2 On first registration of a:

(a) New Domestic Meter Point in the Supply Meter Point Register the Registered User shall be, in accordance with the New Domestic Connection Procedures, the Commissioning User; and

(b) New I&C Meter Point in the Supply Meter Point Register the Registered User shall be, in accordance with the New I&C Connection Procedures, the Chosen User or the Default User

9A.3 Where the Commissioning User is not the Preferred User, the Preferred User may become the Registered User of a New Domestic Meter Point subject to and in accordance with paragraphs 6 to 9 (inclusive).
