10.6 For so long as a Supply Meter Point Withdrawal has not become effective in accordance with paragraph 1 0 . 5, the Withdrawing User shall remain liable for Distribution Charges in respect of the Withdrawing Supply Meter Point.

10.7 When a Supply Meter Point Withdrawal has become effective in accordance with paragraph 1 0 . 5, the User shall cease to be the Registered User and the Supply Meter Point Registration shall be cancelled.

10.8 Where a Supply Meter Point Withdrawal becomes effective (under paragraph 1 0 . 5) in respect of an NDM Supply Meter Point and the Proposing User provides an Opening Meter Reading in accordance with Section M paragraph 3.17, the Operator will, within 5 Business Days after such Meter Reading was provided to it, notify such Meter Reading to the Withdrawing User and inform the Withdrawing User whether it passed the validation referred to in Section M paragraph 3.12.

10.9 In accordance with Section M paragraph 3.17 an Opening Meter Reading for an NDM Supply Meter Point obtained within a period of 5 Business Days commencing on the Day 2 Business Days before the Supply Meter Point Registration Date will be deemed for all purposes of the Code to have been obtained on the Supply Meter Point Registration Date.

11 Isolation

11.1 For the purposes of the Code "Isolation" of a Supply Meter Point means the Isolation o r Disconnection by the Operator of the Supply Meter Point for the purposes of securing that gas cannot be offtaken from the System at such point, in such manner as the Operator may in any case determine; and "Isolate" or “Isolated” shall be construed accordingly.

11.2 For the purposes of this Section L, “Disconnection” of a Supply Meter Point means the removal or decommissioning of the gas service in such a manner as the Operator may in any case determine; and “Disconnect” or “Disconnected” shall be construed accordingly.

11.3 For the purposes of the Code, “Isolation Siteworks Procedures” are the procedures of that name, and any update thereof or revision thereto, prepared and maintained by the Operator and applying in respect of the request by a User for the Isolation of a Supply Meter Point.

11.4 Where a Supply Meter Point has been Isolated but not Disconnected, the Registered User will continue to be responsible for gas offtaken from the System at the Supply Metre Point and accordingly liable for Distribution Charges in respect of the Isolated Supply Meter Point.

11.5 Subject to paragraph 11.6where a Supply Meter Point has been Disconnected (and unless and until its connection is restored) the person who is or was the Registered User of the Supply Meter Point shall, unless the Registered User's request for Isolation included the confirmation referred to in paragraph 11.9(g) (which confirmation the User has not subsequently withdrawn in accordance with paragraph 11.13(b)), cease to be responsible for gas offtaken from the System at the Supply Meter Point.

11.6 Where Isolation is carried out at a Supply Meter Point the Registered User must obtain and provide to the Operator a Valid Meter Reading obtained not earlier than the time at which the

Isolation was carried out.

11.7 A User may request the Operator to Isolate a Registered Supply Meter Point, subject to and in accordance with paragraphs 11.8 to 11.17 (inclusive).

11.8 A User may only request an Isolation in accordance with the applicable procedures for Isolation Siteworks ("Isolation Siteworks Procedures") published by the Operator at the time of the User’s request and at the time at which the Isolation is carried out.

11.9 The User's request must specify:

(a) the identity of the User;

(b) the relevant Supply Meter Point Reference Number of the Supply Meter Point;

(c) the date, not less than 11 Business Days after the User’s request is submitted, on which Isolation is requested (which date shall not be binding on the Operator); and

(d) the address and postcode of the Supply Meter Point;

(e) confirmation as to whether the Isolation request includes the requirement to Disconnect the Supply Meter Point;

(f) such further details (including details of the reason for the Isolation and details of the consumer) as may be required under the Isolation Siteworks Procedures; and

(g) if the User wishes to remain the Registered User of the Supply Meter Point following Disconnection.

11.10 Unless a User’s request has been rejected in accordance with the Isolation Sitworks Procedures, the Operator will respond to the User’s request confirming that the Isolation request has been accepted, and specifying the date, not earlier than and on or as soon as is in the circumstances reasonably practicable after the requested date, on which the Isolation is to be carried out, subject to and in accordance with the Isolation Siteworks Procedures.

11.11 Where a User requests an Isolation the Operator will be entitled to assume that any Legal Requirement or code of practice relating to the cessation of supply to the consumer has been complied with.

11.12 A User's request for Isolation will be cancelled where the User is or will no longer be the Registered User of the Supply Meter Point on the Day on which the Isolation is to be carried out.

11.13 A User may:

(a) cancel a request made by it for Isolation by notice to the Operator not later than
