POP ART EXPERIMENT • You need to produce 2/3 posters for the subject ‘Film or Music’. Each design should include text and a draw picture you have produced i.e. Feel free to import and picture and rotoscoped. Try to use as many tools as you can. • Remember to keep screen grabbing the stages of develop as this will help you remember what you did, as you’ll need to write paragraphs about; – – – –

What tool is it? How it is useful? Give personal criticism of the tool – is it good or bad? Why? Explain about the layout in Photoshop

Must include The write up and techniques need to include; • Palettes (colour, layers, objects, brushes, history, actions, size, resolution);

• Tools (marquee, lasso, magic wand, magnetic lasso, selecting, cropping, clone tool); • Layers (transforming layers, copying and saving layers, arranging layers, opacity and blending modes, layer effects); • Manipulation (feathering edges, filters, brightness and contrast, hue and saturation, masks, paths, textures, effects); • Save; undo


Must include • Write about file information i.e. screen grab the save as box, and show the different saving file formats they offer to illustrate that it is a RASTER based application. • Describe that the windows are a flowing format i.e. that they can be moved or hidden to display the way you want t, demonstrating that the programme aims for you to be free in your approach.
