YOUR STORE EVALUATION

WALK INTO YOUR FUEL STATION AND PRETEND THAT YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE. What is the first message

you receive? Is the fuel station fresh, clean, well thought-out, friendly, and inviting? Or is it old, tired, dirty, and non-focused? Take notes on your feelings of the overall fuel station. LOOK AT THE DÉCOR IN THE FUEL STATION. What image is

the décor sending? Does it fit your customer? Does your fuel station send a company message that your station is relevant and customer driven?

NOTE WHAT AREAS NEED THE MOST ATTENTION. Does one

particular area feel unusually bare or lifeless? If this area is triggering an emotion in you as the owner, then your customer will have similar feelings. Tune into the exact things that are bothering you. Is it an improper wall color, a discolored ceiling tile, or an uninviting design? WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE? Consumers will choose fuel

stations that they feel are targeted towards them. Jot down who you feel you are attracting to each area of your station. EVALUATE YOUR NOTES. Now that you have collected objective

notes, process them to help you begin to make decisions regarding your fuel station. You most likely will discover that you have some work ahead of you. Take your findings and begin to formulate a plan. IMPLEMENT YOUR PLAN. Often, you can begin to make small

changes that will make a dramatic difference, such as a new coat of paint. This will show your customers that you are willing to invest in their shopping experience. 7

REMODELING 5 REASON WHY 1. NEW COMPETITION: Is there a new fuel station moving in down the street? One way to keep customers coming back to your fuel station is to freshen up your existing décor. This will result in loyalty and excitement. Customers will refer your fuel station to their friends. 2. IT’S TIME: Customers are drawn to fuel stations who stay current and seem fresh and innovative. By changing the décor or paint colors of your business, you will create an exciting atmosphere that your consumers will respond to positively. A remodel can even be as simple as updating and changing the emphasis of your products or developing a stronger brand image. 3. LOOKING FOR A BOOST: Are your sales numbers wavering? Customers respond very well to the fresh change of a fuel station, which can mean a large increase in sales for you. 4. EXTEND YOUR REACH: New neighborhood developments, a new generation moving into older neighborhoods, or evolving changes to your community may require you to extend your reach. At Decorworx, we examine your demographics to increase your traffic and we incorporate design elements that appeal to your target market. 5. ATTRACT NEW CUSTOMERS: Remodels generate news, which in turn attracts new customers. By using new décor, you are increasing the curiosity and appeal of your fuel station. A remodel is a great way to create excitement associated with your brand and to showcase what you have to offer to customers. 11
