RAISE THE PADDLE Kennedy Catholic owns a fleet of 12 school buses of varying ages, sizes and capacities. Operational costs for our fleet have grown, breakdowns are more frequent and we sometimes have several buses in for maintenance at the same time. New buses are environmentally friendly and less expensive to fix and maintain. In addition to a more comfortable and reliable ride, there are lower fuel and overhead costs. From athletics to musical performances, to community service outings and field trips, to daily pick-up and drop-off; Kennedy Catholic transportation allows us to carry out our educational mission. A wheelchair lift would provide accessibility, 300 miles of routes increase our reach, and buses facilitate discovery and learning beyond the classroom. So - Jump on board! Your gift to tonight’s Fund-a-Need will ensure Kennedy Catholic can fulfill its strategic commitment to ensure greater accessibility, including ADA access. With your help, we can reach our goal to purchase two new buses. Your donation is a deeply meaningful way to support our mission in a direct, tangible and focused way. On behalf of all Lancers, current and future, our entire faculty and staff and our community, we offer our most humble thank you. Please raise your paddle high, give generously tonight and help us achieve our goal. Your donation to the Fund-a-Need is 100% tax deductible. Gifts at the following levels are most appreciated.

CHAIRMAN’S LETTER Welcome Lancer alumni, friends, family and staff to the 46th Annual Kennedy Catholic KATCH Auction gala! We are honored to be part of this wonderful and fun tradition and are thankful for the time and effort that has gone into such an important event. It wouldn’t be possible without the countless hours spent behind the scenes by so many volunteers and staff the Lancer Family applauds you! Our amazing journey at Kennedy Catholic will be coming to an end in a few short months. Our son, Trey, will be graduating. While we are excited for his next adventure, we know after this experience we will always be Lancers for Life! We are grateful every day for the education Trey received over the last four years and the friendships he made along the way. We join together this evening with the common goal of supporting the students of Kennedy Catholic. Proceeds from this auction will support continued improvement of campus facilities and helps makes a Catholic education accessible to as many students as possible. Tonight’s Fund-a-Need will help ensure reliable transportation so our students can make it safely to school and extra-curricular activities. We are thrilled this occasion is finally upon us! After so much anticipation, planning and procuring, there are wonderful gifts, experiences and items generously donated and ready for your bidding tonight. Please be generous in your support. A big thank you to Sarah Dahleen, Karen Cascio and the fantastic auction committee. We look forward to celebrating with everyone tonight. Enjoy your evening and thank you. Let the Adventure Begin! PRINCIPAL AND PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Dear Lancers, Welcome to the 2018 KATCH Auction Gala: Let the Adventure Begin! This year the Kennedy Catholic auction theme, Let the Adventure Begin, celebrates LIFE – the Lancer family, Inspiration, Fun, and Exploration. We are excited to join together with all of you for what is sure to be a stunning celebration with good friends, drinks, dinner, and the opportunity to bid on fabulous items, all in the spirit of raising money for our beloved school. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students, we extend a heartfelt thank you for your assistance tonight as we raise critical funds to ensure Kennedy Catholic remains synonymous with an exceptional educational experience. We are grateful to the many generous individuals and businesses who contributed items and sponsorships. We are honored to be recipients of their support. Our deepest thanks to Walt and Lisa Hunt, our auction chairs, who spent months behind the scenes, planning tonight’s event. They helped guide a talented committee of dedicated volunteers listed in this catalog. With your help, this year’s Fund-a-Need will support new school buses. Please give generously so we can reach our goal and know that our entire student body will directly benefit from your kindness. Thank you for your dedication to Kennedy Catholic High School. AUCTION RULES By bidding in the live or silent auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules. 1. Upon entry each guest will be given a bid paddle. Each person issued a bid paddle assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising there from Kennedy Catholic High School, its elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction. Silent Auction: Write your bid number on the silent auction bid sheet next to the amount you wish to bid. You may not write in amounts; you must use the amounts listed on the bid sheet. No bidder may block access to the bid sheets. Place your bid and step back from the bid sheet. The bid number next to the highest bid amount will be declared the purchaser of that item. Guaranteed Bids: If you wish to guarantee your purchase of a particular item, write your bid number on the line at the bottom of the bid sheet designated “guaranteed bid”. By doing so, you agree to pay the “guaranteed bid” amount and that item is yours. Table Closing: All items on the silent auction tables may be bid upon until the tables are officially closed by the judges. Persons in process may complete writing their bid. In the event of a dispute, the closing judge or designated silent auction official will determine the winning bid. The official’s decision will be final. If there are two or more bidders actively bidding on an item at the time the table closes, they may notify a silent auction official and request a mini oral auction. Winning Bid: The highest bid written on the silent auction form, and designated by the silent auction official as the top bid, is a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item.

Let the Adventure Begin | 27

AUCTION RULES Live Auction: Bidders should be seated before the live portion of the auction begins. Raise your paddle high in the air, facing the direction of the auctioneer so the auctioneer can clearly see your bid number. After the last paddle has been raised, the auctioneer will announce the item SOLD and will move to the next item. A bid acknowledged by the live auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item; an auction official will bring you a form to sign acknowledging your purchase. In the event of a dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole discretion to determine the winning bid or to re-offer the item in dispute. 2. Kennedy Catholic High School has, in good faith, attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly, but all items are offered as is, where is. The school neither warrants nor represents, and in no event will be responsible for, the correctness of description, authenticity, authorship, provenance or condition of the items. No statement contained in the catalog or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. 3. Values set on items at the auction are only estimates and not warranted by the school for tax purposes or fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. 4. KATCH reserves the right to withdraw or add any item from sale, without notice, prior to the call for bids. 5. Unless otherwise noted, all goods, services or certificates must be claimed and used within one year of the date of the auction.

Let the Adventure Begin | 28

AUCTION RULES 6. Reservations, accommodations, events, and the like, must be mutually arranged upon with the donor unless otherwise noted. Tickets in travel packages are for coach class services unless otherwise noted. No refunds, for any reason, will be given for cancelled or unused events, travel packages and/or accommodations. 7. All purchases are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on items for any reason. No item may be returned to the donor. 8. All items must be removed from the school by the end of the auction, unless other arrangements have been made. 9. Any purchased item unclaimed after 30 days will become the property of the KATCH Office unless prior arrangements have been made. 10. A written or oral bid at KATCH constitutes a legal contract to buy the item. All sales are final. In case of disputes, the decision of the KATCH official is final. 11. KATCH and the auctioneer reserve the right to reject any bid which is a partial advance over the prior bid increment. 12. All items must be paid for the night of the auction. Payment by a successful bidder may be made no sooner than 30 minutes after the closing of a silent bid and no sooner than 10 minutes after the closing of a live bid. Payment may be made by cash/check or credit card. 13. Items may be removed from the building only by exhibiting a receipt from the KATCH Bank to security.
