Yes, in high school there are books, there are tests, there are assignments, but there are also very important experiences you can’t put on paper. It’s about being yourself and being part of something bigger than yourself. It’s time with good friends. It’s being able to express yourself and try new things, surrounded by people who believe in you and push you to be a better version of yourself. It’s hard work, but it’s a lot of fun.

Find your balance. Providing an equal opportunity and quality education rooted in faith and service is at the heart of the Lancer experience. In the classroom every day, Lancers are taught the importance of balance. Faculty and staff reach well beyond textbooks to drive home the critical lessons of valuing families and friends, working hard to succeed, making time for extracurriculars, and giving back to the community. There is a culture of encouraging self-advocacy and building confidence. So, yes, you go to high school for the education – but what you take away is the experience.
Being in the Lancer band taught me time management, public speaking, and leadership skills. Band is more than notes and rhythms on a page, it’s about working as a team toward a common goal. I can always count on my bandmates. Band gives me a sense of belonging and purpose. ERIK ’19

ATHLETICS AT KENNEDY CATHOLIC
Get in the game. The Lancer Athletics program has a storied history with more than a few championship banners. Yet, we believe athletics consists of more than just wins and losses - some of the most important triumphs are outside of competition. As a student-athlete you will be encouraged to thrive not only on the court, but in the classroom. Lancer Nation offers 26 varsity sports. We are a member of the North Puget Sound League at the 4A level, so whether you join the team or cheer from the stands, being part of the action is easy. We don’t just teach the skills to win the game, we teach the skills to win at life.
As an athlete, I’ve been encouraged to practice leadership and teamwork skills. I strive to be a mentor to my teammates and hope to inspire and motivate others. Learning to work well with everyone is part of being a good team member. SCOTT ‘21
