Excitement surrounding winter sports and Kennedy Catholic athletics is in the air. Thanks to Kennedy Catholic Booster Club members, we are able to support all student-athletes. With your generosity we support bus transportation, end of season sports banquet celebrations, and player fees are waived, just to name a few.
One of my favorite parts of this job is the continual cycle that comes with each sports season. For each senior night celebration and tear-filled final trip to the locker room, there’s the nervous energy of the first day of tryouts and the goals and dreams of championship trophies. Year in and year out, I truly enjoy each and every step in that cycle. Our overall team performances this fall should give our winter sports confidence that our Lancer student-athletes can compete at the highest level in our state – the 4A North Puget Sound League. The competition that our league provides elevates all of our programs and drives the true essence of high school sports.
Momentum is building with parent and community participation in the Booster Club activities and events. The Booster Club is a volunteer-run non-profit. Our purpose is to support the athletic budget of Kennedy Catholic. This winter program is part of that work. All funds raised by sales of advertising go back to our student athletes in the way of equipment, uniforms, teambuilding activities and more. Please consider supporting these local businesses you see within. Become a Booster Club member or join us at the Booster Club Crab Feed on January 26. While attending this year’s winter sporting events, get caught up in the adventure and let the momentum inspire you. Together, we can make a difference for our studentathletes. Go Lancers! The strength of the greater Kennedy Catholic community has amazed me since the first day I walked into my office three years ago. In terms of the athletic program, that community is comprised of our coaches, our school staff, our parents and families, our Booster Club and our alumni all working in unison to foster a “championship culture”.
