How has your faith grown at Kennedy Catholic? I’ve really gotten into the debates and real-world problem solving that we do in Theology and I find these classes very accessible and eye-opening in your high school faith journey.
Do you have a memorable retreat experience?
My experience on SEARCH as a junior was quite memorable; it was very grounding and forced me to live in every moment. I did a lot of reflection, made new friends, and discovered more about myself and my community.
Advice for new Lancers?
Don’t be afraid to be yourself. We often try to fit in or fly under the radar while ignoring our true selves, and sometimes all it takes is just to say yes to something that sounds interesting to you, whether it’s going to a dance or trying a new sport or instrument. Use high school as an opportunity to find out who you really are and how you want to live your life and you will get so much out of it.

Faith ENCOUNTER CHRIST
T
he Lancer Family gathers regularly to pray and worship. Through these experiences, Lancers develop the spiritual and moral foundation to live a good life.
Our theology curriculum and Campus Ministry programming allows students to grow in their relationship with God as well as in love and friendship with each other. Over four years, students discover their God-given gifts including how to use their faith as a compass for moral and ethical decision making; how to follow in the footsteps of our Blessed Patron Pier Giorgio Frassati, known as the man of the Beatitudes; and how to promote life and the common good through justice and peace in the world.

Favorite Kennedy Catholic tradition?
The gauntlet because I love the way you enter it as a freshman, all frightened and excited to see what high school is about, and then exit it as a senior full of memories and a complete sense of community.
Best place to study on campus? The best place to study on campus is definitely in your teacher’s classroom during office hours. I always have questions and it’s so nice to get to know your teachers while you’re at it.
Favorite class project? The Oedipus Rex amusement park I designed in Honors English. I loved using my creativity and knowledge of the novel to design a fun theme park.
Service LEAD WITH LOVE

We are called to not just develop our skills, talents, and abilities for our benefit, but to use them in service to others and the betterment of our world. By fostering a sense of belonging wherever we venture, Lancers aspire to love and glorify all God’s creation.

Why did you choose Kennedy Catholic?
I remember shadowing at Kennedy Catholic in 8th grade and being absolutely blown away by the school spirit. I didn’t even visit during a spirit week or an assembly day, but the halls were still buzzing with energy. It was the exact environment and family of which I wanted to be a part.
Favorite assembly?
My favorite assembly is 100% the Multicultural Assembly. It really showcases the diversity and depth we have here at Kennedy Catholic, and it’s amazing to see it grow and grow every year. It continues to prove how much we truly unite through shared cultures.
What’s been your most rewarding class?
AP U.S. History. It is arguably one of the hardest APs, but applying yourself and giving it your all makes success just that much better.

Why did you choose Kennedy Catholic?
I chose Kennedy Catholic because it had a good balance of everything. You could tell that education was a really big part of the school, but it was also important that you could develop as an athlete and as a person. It was a balance of all three.
Words of advice for incoming students? I would say that the best thing is to branch out. Remember people’s names. You only go to high school once, so just try to meet as many new people as possible.
Where do you find community here at Kennedy Catholic? I guess I find community everywhere. Everyone is super welcoming. The teachers are all super nice and they’re on your side. The staff are all amazing. I feel like I belong here. It was 100% the right choice for me to come to Kennedy Catholic.
