Founded in 1966, Kennedy Catholic High School is a four-year, co-educational college preparatory school within the Archdiocese of Seattle. The school’s 20-acre campus is located in the thriving community of Burien, WA, just 11 miles south of Seattle, WA.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The academic program is organized in a modified block schedule. Students must take seven courses per semester. A full year course is awarded one credit and a semester course is awarded 0.5 credits. A student must complete 28 credits to graduate, including the Senior Project. Students must also complete at least 50 hours of service by the time of graduation.

CURRICULUM
We offer a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum that meets the diverse learning needs of all students. Our school program includes AP, honors, and dual credit courses, the St. Teresa of Calcutta Program for students with learning differences, and transitional classes for our international students.

Kennedy Catholic High School does not rank students but provides the following distribution from the Class of 2024. Grades reflect courses taken through the end of senior year.

AQUINAS SCHOLAR PROGRAM
The St. Thomas Aquinas Scholar Program recognizes students who elect to take a highly rigorous curriculum, beyond Kennedy Catholic’s traditional college prep programming. Students who take at least 12 of their 28 credits in the form of honors, Advanced Placement, or dual credit (Seattle University) courses will be recognized as an Aquinas Scholar. For those students who take 16+ of their 28 credits as honors, AP, or dual credit, they will be recognized as an Aquinas Scholar with Distinction.
COLLEGE CREDIT COURSES
Kennedy Catholic offers college credit classes through two different sources: the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program and Seattle University. College credits earned through the program are transferable to most colleges nationwide.

ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
Kennedy Catholic offers more than 60+ Varsity athletic teams, clubs, and activities. These programs give students a sense of personal responsibility, teach teamwork, leadership, and bring students to recognize the values of faith and service to others.
Lancer student athletes compete in the 4A classification and are members of the North Puget Sound League.
ST. TERESA OF CALCUTTA PROGRAM
Our differentiated curriculum offers suitable academic challenges for every student, including those with a wide range of abilities and learning styles. Learning differences include, but are not limited to:

CAMPUS MINISTRY
Students participate in Adoration, monthly all-school Mass, silent reflection in the Chapel, a unique ISLE Service Program, and the following retreats:
