Shakespeare’s Globe Box Office 21 New Globe Walk London SE1 9DT Cheques should be made payable to The Shakespeare Globe Trust. Please leave the amount open, stating an upper limit. If paying by credit card or debit card, please include the billing name and address of the card holder, the card number, expiry date and (if applicable) the start date and issue number. We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Maestro.
REFUNDS Shakespeare’s Globe cannot give refunds on any ticket sold.
EXCHANGES Shakespeare’s Globe can exchange tickets for a later performance of the same production on condition that we receive the tickets at least 28 days before the performance. There is an administration fee of £2.50 per ticket, free for Friends of Shakespeare’s Globe.

Visibility The roof of the stage and all gallery seats are held up by pillars and there is no seat in the theatre from which the action is not obscured at some point.
Seating Seating consists of wooden benches. Yard tickets are standing only, please do not bring shooting sticks or chairs.
Cloakroom
All seats are covered, but the theatre is open to the elements and performances continue whatever the weather.
Due to the continuing building works there is no cloakroom for the theatre during the 2013 season and patrons are asked to keep their belongings with them at all times. The management reserves the right to search any bag taken in to the theatre and refuse access with large items and suitcases.
Stairs
Children
If you have problems climbing stairs or suffer from vertigo you are advised to request tickets in the lower gallery.
A ticket is required for anyone aged 3 and over. If your child cries or causes a disturbance you will be asked to leave and may not be readmitted to the theatre.

DEAF OR HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE
Shakespeare’s Globe aims to be accessible and welcoming to all and is committed to making your visit as easy and as enjoyable as possible.
A hearing aid induction loop is available at all performances. Please note that the Globe is an open-air theatre and the loop will amplify all sounds. Hearing aids should be switched to ‘T’ position. A small number of induction loop enhancers are available, please ask at the Information Desk on arrival. Enabling dogs are welcome, please inform Box Office at time of booking.

PARKING Two parking spaces are available for disabled patrons. Spaces must be booked in advance and are allocated on a firstcome, first-served basis.
WHEELCHAIR USERS The theatre has provision for wheelchair users in the yard and Gentlemen’s Rooms, and there is full disabled access throughout the rest of the site. Gentlemen’s Rooms tickets must be pre-booked. One wheelchair platform is available in the yard, and must be prebooked through the Box Office. Please note that sight lines from ground level can be restricted. Patrons wishing to transfer between wheelchairs and bench seating should call the access information line prior to booking as not all seats are suitable. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you if you book an unsuitable seat or do not notify us at the time of booking.

EXHIBITION AND THEATRE TOURS The Globe Exhibition explores the life of Shakespeare, the London he lived in and the theatre he wrote for. A permanent exhibition is complemented by regular costume dressing, sword fighting and printing press demonstrations. On the Theatre tour, our expert Guides tell the story of the original Globe and the reconstruction, with colourful stories of Elizabethan Bankside when the Globe was at the heart of London’s most notorious entertainment district. The Exhibition is open all year round (except 24 – 25 December). During the Theatre Season tours generally run in the mornings only, with the Exhibition remaining open in the afternoon. The Swan Bar and Restaurant at Shakespeare’s Globe sources ingredients from local suppliers and markets and transforms them into innovative modern British dishes.
Shakespeare’s Globe has a variety of versatile spaces which can be hired for events. The private rooms are ideal for meetings, standing receptions, gala dinner parties, award ceremonies and workshops, accommodating between 20 and 450 guests, and are also licenced to hold weddings and civil ceremonies.

BY CAR AND TAXI Parking is limited. There is an NCP car park on Upper Thames Street (closes at 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays). Congestion charges apply 7am – 6pm, Monday – Friday, excluding public holidays. Visitors can make use of the free telephone in the foyer to call a local mini-cab firm.
BY BIKE There are uncovered bike racks on Bankside and New Globe Walk, 10 metres from the theatre. There is a Transport for London Barclay’s Cycle Hire docking point on New Globe Walk.
