Christmas is About Self-Giving
Message from Mr Kirit Patel, chairman and CEO of Motibhai Group The holiday season is here and it is the best time to be with friends and families and spend love-filled moments. Christmas is easily the happiest day on the Christian calendar. And the other faiths in Fiji join their Christian brothers and sisters to celebrate because the Christmas message is for everyone. The teachings of Jesus Christ hold many lessons on spirituality, forgiveness and morality and more so in the midst of hardship and despair, there can be hope. Our humanity doesn’t depend on our material possessions or status in life. Whatever little we have, we can share with others in need. Our peace, prosperity and redemption, is not a function of the wealth we gather but on how we treat the least among us. This year was filled with its fair share of challenges, but equally there have been events that give us hope for the future. Our Fiji is built on the spirit of community, togetherness, charitableness, sharing, love and hopefulness. Let us pray this Christmas to become instruments of peace and seek to build a kinder, gentler society particularly during this most difficult time, when
less giving May the Spirit of Christ be born again in all of us this Christmas, to soften and warm our hearts in the exercise of compassion; to strengthen our will in the pursuit of our common purpose and to move our spirits to respond with praise, gratitude and joy to the presence of the Living God and our fellowship with each other. I wish each of you a Christmas filled with the presence of Christ and a New Year touched by God`s blessings.
the whole world is reeling and grappling in its endeavours to treat, contain and hopefully successfully eradicate the COVID-19 Pandemic. Despite the “New Norm” which has been unfortunately imposed upon humanity by the world-wide COVID-19 Pandemic, we can still rejoice this Christmas by being posi-
tive and firm in our faith in the Almighty that our beloved Fiji is blessed with resilient people where goodwill and forgiveness has always been the hallmark of our success and triumph. This Christmas I hope you all will find some comfort and reassurance. I hope for good tidings for you and your family as Christmas is also about self-
Timely relief for Caubati family 2020 has been the year of struggles for many and any amount of support is deemed a great one to those who are genuinely struggling to make ends meet. Motibhai Group in partnership with its supplier – Kimberly Clark in Australia provided some relief to a family with two sets of twins and a father who had lost his job due to the pandemic. With the help of our suppliers, some weight has been taken off these young parents as they won’t have to buy baby diapers
or wipes for an entire year. While the father continues to search for a job, he is happy that he no longer has to worry about buying nappies for his two sets of twins.

Delightful Diwali for VIVA FB promo winners It was indeed a delightful Diwali for the five winners of the VIVA Facebook competition as they now have a carton of VIVA Paper Towels and a George Foreman Griddle. Entries poured in from the day the competition began. The entrants of the competition had to post a picture of how VIVA has helped them this Diwali. A number of very interesting entries came, which included a woman making her “Gajra” – which is a hair accessory, a man who has helped his wife clean up their home for Diwali and another woman who has kept her vegetables fresh and her fried snacks oil free.
