Worship Led by Ben Savage and the Freedom Team
After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was do ing? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message. Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them.

Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet,to be entire ly clean. And you disciples are clean, but not all of you.” For Jesus knew who would betray him. That is what he meant when he said, “Not all of you are clean.”

“I
A couple of months back, I started using a new phrase when people would ask me how I am doing. I would reply, “Today, I am having the best day of my life!” Let me tell you this phrase brings positivity to a new level. The person asking usually smiles and I get a chance to claim my plans. Why not plan to make every day the best day of our lives?
As I was trying out this new phrase, I was thinking what do I have to lose? I lose my negativity, worry, regrets, and seeing the worst in people.
What I gain from using this phrase is much more valuable. My outlook begins to change, and I am not consumed by potential troubles around me. My overall mental attitude begins to see wonderful possibilities growing out of negative situations. I gain energy and enthusiasm as positivity usually begets more positivity. My focus shifts to see more of the best in others!
The Apostle Paul says about HOPE… “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; per severance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5) Paul says we can even see God’s glory in our suffering. Hope in Christ is even more compelling than seeking a positive attitude.
”
Philip’s Focus Am Having the Best Day of My Life!
What about the life of a Christian? Is this phrase consistent with the Bi ble? Can we follow Jesus and always seek to have the best day of our lives? I would bet on it. Being positive is not always possible, but there’s a greater chance of HOPE! Every day can be the best day of my life because of my HOPE in Jesus Christ.

There is an old story of a grandmother during a wonderful meal who would say to family members “keep your fork the best is yet to come.” We all know what was coming next... dessert! When she died, they placed a fork in her hand. Meaning, “the best is yet to come!”
The ability to see God’s redemption in circumstances even those we might consider the worst disappointments, taking on the difficulties of others, illness, death, and other seasons that are hard is possible through hope. Every day we wake up knowing something better is ahead.
In the coming days, I plan to keep using my new phrase. We live in times of great negativity, pessimism, and despair. Why not claim our faith and seek to have the best day of our lives?

Many of the movements we do encourage neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is a way to surprise the brain by doing new or unusual tasks, something as simple as using your non dominant hand to throw a ball. With the new moves, the neurons in your brain wake up and say “HEY, WHATS GOING ON?” Plenty of scientific studies prove that this can help to prevent decline in brain functioning. We are not going to cure anyone, but the variety of exercises that we do with scarves, balls, foam noodles, exercise bands and light weighs are certainly beneficial to everyone.
Want to exercise your body and brain while having fun? Come join us!
We had 22 people in our exercise circle on Tuesday. We manage to sneak in a little workout, but mostly what happens in the circle is laughter, mixed in with some music, fun and seated fitness moves. Who knows, a round of the hokey pokey may even break out while we are “exercising”.

Kelly Minter has a new 7-session Bible study, “Encoun tering God”, which will help us unpack and develop the sacred habits essential to a more vibrant spiritual life and enable us to know God more intimately. This is not about adding more to your to-do list; it is about providing peace and rest as you walk closer to Jesus. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow in your knowledge and love of God and to fellowship with other Christian women.
