Student Choir Spaghetti Lunch

You do not want to miss a time with an amazing meal and great fellowship!
Connection and Commitment Sunday
Connection and Commitment Sunday is November 24th. Please prayerfully consider where God calls you to serve in ministries of connecting with others to express Jesus’ love.
The Every Member in Ministry sign-up sheet is an excellent way to make Connections. We also ask all our Church Family to prayerfully offer an expression of Commitment to Jesus Christ and The Church at Shalimar financially as we prepare to expand both our reach of Jesus’ love outward in our community and inward to everyone already a part of our Church Family.
The Connection and Commitment Card is a convenient way to communicate how each of us join together to lean forward in 2025. On Sunday, the 24th, in all our morning Worship services, we will invite everyone to bring their Every Member in Ministry and Connection and Commitment Cards to the altar as The Church at Shalimar brings people to know and experience Jesus’ Love in 2025.

MISSIONS MOMENT! DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know the 1996 Shalimar United Methodist Church Missions’ Committee initiated Safe Connections (formerly known as the Judge Ben Gordon Family Visitation Center) to meet a growing need for families in crisis. Safe Connections provides a nurturing environment and trained monitors to ensure safety for vulnerable children during supervised visitation time and monitored custody exchanges. Safe Connections provides parenting classes, resources, and referrals to parents to help them become the safe and stable parents every child deserves. Over the years our church has provided many dedicated volunteers without whom Safe Connections could not have grown and thrived. You will have an opportunity to sign up to volunteer at Safe Connections in January 2025. For more information, please contact Sharon Rogers Horn at sharongrogers@hotmail.com.

SPLASH OF JOY ADVENT STUDY
The ladies of Splash of Joy invite you to join us for a four-week Advent Bible study, Waiting Here For You, An Advent Journey of Hope, by Louie Giglio. We will meet November 13 and 20, take a break over Thanksgiving week; and complete the study on December 4 and 11. Splash of Joy meets in room 207 of the FLC on Wednesdays from 9:30- l 1:30. Flower arrangements and roses can be given to the glory of God and displayed each week in the Sanctuary worship services. Reservations for altar flowers can be made using the reservation book in the Sanctuary Narthex or by calling the Church Office at (850) 651–0721.
DECEMBER SCRAPBOOKING
BUILD A THANKSGIVING BAG!
The holiday season is a time we look for opportunities to love and serve others like Jesus did. One of the ways we do this at The Church at Shalimar is providing Thanksgiving Blessing Bags to those in need. These bags invite our congregation to collect specific food items to bless families in our community with a special Thanksgiving meal that they may not be able to provide for themselves. The bags, with an accompanying flyer specifying the items to purchase, will be available to pick up beginning Sunday, November 3. Please return your bag of items to the Bread House on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays between 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or the Church Office Monday - Thursday between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. by November 20.
