Lenten Devotional Books are now Avaliable The Lenten Season is a period for thoughtful reflection and prayer. Shalimar has a long history of producing Lenten Devotionals containing individual devotions written by our members. In looking through some previous additions, we realized how many members have contributed in the past and have gone on to be with our Lord. In recognition of their great witness, we have selected devotions from these members that were published in the 1989 to 2011 editions. Get your copy in the FLC lobby or Narthex today!

Blood Drive OneBlood will be here today from 8:00 until 1:00. Appointments are encouraged at http://oneblood.org/donate-now and enter the sponsor code 20789. However, walk-ins are welcome! See the big red bus outside for more information

New Covered Walkway !

By now, you may have noticed and utilized the wonderful covered walkway connecting our buildings between the Children’s Ministry area, our Preschool Ministry, and the FLC. I’m very thankful to our Trustees for planning, approving, and setting all this in place... However, it must be said OUT LOUD that the funds for the completion of this much needed addition came from our Preschool Ministry and Mrs. Karen Jadin, our excellent Director.        Our Preschool Ministry already contributes finances monthly to the Church for custodial services, utilities, and other costs related to the function of this ministry, but it is such a blessing to our entire Church family that Karen Jadin and her Board of Directors wish to support the larger ministries of our great Church by gifts of extra funds toward needs which are identified by the Trustees. Next time it’s raining and your crossing from one building to another, thank God for the Preschool and Karen’s leadership of this ministry. In Jesus, Alan W. McBride
