Space debris from a low flying satellite could knock out communication satellites By Shane Cassidy
I personally think it wouldn't because satellites are at a different altitudes I also think that if some how it did happen, it wouldn't happen as fast as it did in the movie
NASA engineer Robert Frost says:
It is false, it could not happen. The communication satellite is 100 times higher then the Hubble Telescope. (That is where they are) The same cloud of debris could not take out both the communication satellites and the Hubble
This is the orbit of both the comm unicati on satellit es and the Hubble telesco pe
Objects in a orbit can't change orbits like I drew here
If space debris is in a orbit, it can't fly out of orbit like this
