2011

National Green Hotel Award

Shangri-La Jakarta was granted the National Green Hotel Award 2011 from the Indonesia Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry on 19 December 2011 at Balairung

Soesilo Soedarman, Gedung Sapta Pesona Jakarta. The award is given to hotels that have shown great concern to green tourism and sustainable development to motivate hotel management to be more active in protecting and developing the environment.

The finalists were selected from 290 four and five star hotels. From 76 hotels that returned the self-assessment questionnaire, 24 hotels meeting the requirements and standards were chosen to receive the award.

Certification of Commendation (By the US Embassy)

Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta was granted the Certification of Commendation for Outstanding Security Support. This was essentially bestowed in recognition of the hotel’s reputation as a leader in hotel security, which resulted in the appointment of Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta as the official venue to host the President of the United States of America, Barrack Obama, and the First Lady in November 2010.

Trophy of Outstanding Support and Dedication to the Safety and Security of Transiting US Military Forces
