CATERING

COST

Expect $40-$100 per guest for food. Budget using this rule of thumb for the bar: One to two drinks per guest, per hour.

CONSIDER

Book your caterer as soon as you secure your date and venue, or nine to 18 months in advance. Determine what dinner style is best for your wedding: buffet, stations, plated or family style. Consider guests with special diets who will need vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten-free options. Don’t forget about signature cocktails and late-night snacks!

BUDGET

Remember that prices will increase when labor gratuities and taxes are added to the final cost. We suggest budgeting at least $50 per guest. Be sure to include meals for your photographer, videographer, catering staff and any other vendors who will be actively present at your reception. 
