The Arctic Archipelagoes The Arctic Archipelago’s are in the climate of Tundra the weather rarely reaches above 0 Degrees Celsius over all the years. The summers are short and dry, some people think that the Arctic Archipelago’s snow’s a lot but of the dry air it has a very low amount of precipitation which causes it to barely snow.

What are the Natural Resources? In the Arctic Archipelago’s they have some pretty good resources, They have Fish, Oil, Gas, Minerals, Clean Drinkable Water. Landforms of Arctic Archipelago’s Landforms of the Arctic Archipelago’s are made out of Ice from the Sea, Islands/Archipelagos, Icebergs, and Beach’s Famous Features/Landform’s? Iceberg’s and Snow are a famous Land feature/Landform. How The Region was formed? It was formed by the cold and dry weather which has caused it to be like this permanently.


The Prairies The Plains are located from the Middle of Alberta too around The West-end of Ontario. The weather reaches an average of -16 Degrees Celsius during January. Precipitation happens more likely during summer.

What are the Natural Resources? Manitoba – Hydro Electric Power Alberta – Fossil Fuels and Coal Saskatchewan – Natural Gas, Uranium, and Potash How the region was formed? The region was formed by the Rocky Mountains and the big shadow would kill most of the trees from not seeing the sunlight.


The Cordillera The Cordillera covers Most of British Columbia and The Yukon. Lots of things can be found in The Cordillera such as Mountains, Deep Valleys, Plateau’s, and Coastal Regions. Winter usually last’s up to Eight month in The Cordillera.

What are the Natural Resources? The Cordillera Contains lots of water and trees. This means that the resources are going to be Forestry, Fishing, and Also mining! How was the region formed? The Cordillera was formed when magma would erupt into Lava and would be cooled under the volcanoes. When the magma would be intruded the heat would be produced into metamorphic rocks.


The Saint Lawrence Lowlands & Great Lakes The Saint Lawrence River was explored by the first people from Europe. They found these lands useful for farming. The area is from Cornwall, ON too Quebec City, Quebec. The Climate is different in many areas from Tropical too Arctic Conditions. Summers are very hot and the winters can be very cold.

What are the Natural Resources? Natural Resources are Fresh Water, Farming and The rich and texture Fertile Level Land for Agricultural Uses. How was the region formed? The region was formed by glaciers moving away and making new material on the region.


The Canadian Shield The Region of The Canadian Shield can be found in the centre of Canada which surrounds the Hudson Bay. You may wonder why it is named “The Canadian Shield” that’s because the land is shaped like a shield. This region is made up from Hills, Highlands, Plateau’s, Lowlands, Plains, and lots of Lakes and Rivers. It is also the largest region in Canada

What are the Natural Resources? The natural resources are Rich Minerals; it is filled with Nickel, Gold, Silver, and Copper. It is known as the world’s richest area in terms of mineral deposits How was the region formed? It was formed over One Billion years ago and was formed by collisions of Volcanic Island arches. They say it is also formed by igneous rocks and metamorphosed rocks.


The Appalachian The Appalachian region includes the provinces of: NFL and Labrador, PEI, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick and a small part of Quebec known as the Gaspe Peninsula. This region has Mountains, Highlands, Plains, and Lowlands. The climate is affected by the Atlantic Ocean. The Ocean keeps the weather at a mild temperature.

What are the Natural Resources? The Natural Resources for The Appalachian Region include Forestry, Mining, and Fishing. Mining can produce things such as: Iron, Ore, Gold, Copper, and Coal. How was the Region formed? It was formed around 480Million years ago during the Ordovician Period. Weathering Eroded The Peaks.
