Central Kitchen Moving
LCCAA Head Start’s central kitchen provides 78,000 meals annually to families throughout the program. The Health and Nutrition staff will relocate the kitchen this spring.
After 12 years of a warm relationship with the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority community at Kennedy Plaza, the kitchen will move to 203 W. 8th St. also in downtown Lorain.
The new facility will be in a former Campana’s Pizza and will meet the program’s needs for at least the next ten years.
The building also includes dedicated parking, office space for staff and plenty of room to expand Head Start’s Nutrition Service.
“I am excited about the potential for this space and our team,” said Melinda Gray, Food Service Manager for the LCCAA Head Start program.
