WEST COAST SWING
One of the most popular & universal dances in the world!! Danced to a variety of different musical tastes: Blues; Swing; Pop; Country & Jazz! Fun and easy to learn. By the end of the class you’ll not only have mastered the basics, but you’ll be impressing your friends on any dance floor you’re on! This class will cover the critical dance skills of body-movement; lead and follow, frame, connection, dance-etiquette, and footplacement in the West Coast Dance. Additionally, class-members will learn side-passes, sugar-pushes, turns, whips, and West Coast “styling.” Furthermore, class-members will learn a specific amalgamation of moves that they can use in any West Coast Dance that they attempt. COUNTRY & WESTERN 2-STEP
The all-time classic popular Country & Western Dance that is danced all over the world! By the end of the class you’ll not only have learned the basics of this classic country dance, you’ll have learned a variety of impressive moves that will make this a fun and exciting dance that you and your partner will enjoy whenever you go dancing! It’s easy to learn and fun to do! This class will concentrate on teaching you the secrets of good 2-step dancing. You’ll learn how to move on the dance floor like the pros. You’ll learn the critical dance skills of body-movement, lead and follow, frame, connection, dance-etiquette, turns, and foot-placement in the 2-step. Additionally, class-members will learn a specific amalgamation of moves that they can use in any 2-step dance that they attempt. DATES: AUG 4, 11, 18, 25, 2022 I Thursdays
RUMBA & CHA-CHA
Learn the basic and most popular of the hot Latin dances: the Rumba & Cha-Cha! At the end of this class you’ll be comfortable and confident dancing to any fast or slow music that has a Latin beat. The Rumba & Cha-Cha are danced to a variety of different musical tastes. This includes a large variety of Pop, Swing, Country, and Latin music. You’ll conquer the dance floor with your new dance skills!
This class will cover the critical dance skills of body-movement; lead and follow, frame, connection, turns, dance-etiquette, and foot-placement in these 2 Latin dances. Furthermore, class-members will learn a specific amalgamation of moves that they can use in any Rumba or Cha-Cha Dance that they attempt. DATES: SEP 6, 13, 20, 27, 2022 I Tuesdays
SWING DANCING – EAST COAST & JITTERBUG
The most popular and universal dance that is danced literally everywhere and by everyone! More than ½ of the songs played at any wedding, party, or dance will be a Swing Dance that fits the rhythm of a “Jitterbug & East Coast” dance. If you want to be able to dance the evening away wherever you go, then this is the mandatory dance for you to learn! This class will cover the critical dance skills of body-movement, lead and follow, frame, connection, turns, dance-etiquette, and foot-placement in these swing dances. Additionally, class-members will learn a specific amalgamation of moves that they can use in any Jitterbug or East Coast Dance that they attempt. DATES: OCT 6, 13, 20, 27, 2022 I Thursdays
