PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: My concept was to create a music festival that Hip Hop Benefit for Stopping Violence. I love music, especially Hip Hop. Just the feeling it gives me when listening to it. The theme and feeling I wanted to go with was straight hip hop, street, and urban feel. I inspired a lot of my imagery and logo design from the iconic group RUN DMC.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The assignment was to create and start up a brand for a delivery service, yet to have some uniqueness by stand out design-wise and marketing amongst their direct competitors.
PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: Fresh2You is a fictional company. The concept was to create an affordable and yet reasonable fresh food delivery service that provides you food from your local farmer’s hands that are delivered straight to your table. Fresh2You prides itself on delivering fresh local vegetables, meats, and fruits from the farmer’s hands to straight to your tables. Looking for Whole Food’s effect without leaving the comfort of your home ? Farm2You is It. It is affordable, reasonable, freshly packed food made for you! I did this by creating a fresh, modern, vibrant, and cultivation with its color palette, branding, business system. Keeping this design very light, fresh, and vibrant.

CLASS: GR 322: Package Design 2 INSTRUCTOR: Kathryn Morgan YEAR OF COMPLETION: Spring 2018 CATEGORIES OF DISCIPLINES: Packaging, Identity Design , & 3D Rendering PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The assignment was to choose an existing company or brand and design a new packaging line for them. It could either be an existing tea company that needed a face lift, or it could be a company that is extending its product line to include tea products.
PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: Luzianne is the brand of southern beverage and packaged goods that offers coffee and iced tea. I decided to go with this brand because of my southern roots and traditions. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where the headquarters for this company resides. The design goal was to design, expand and create a new brand image and packaging for Luzianne Fruit Flavored Iced Tea. I utilized the essence of the south by applying the state’s soft white magnolia flower allowing it to wrap around the packaging applying it with soft and relaxing color palette.

CLASS: GR 360: Graphic Design 3: Nature of Interaction INSTRUCTOR: William Culpepper YEAR OF COMPLETION: Fall 2020 CATEGORIES OF DISCIPLINES: Logo Design, Branding , & UX Design PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The application of web and mobile, for African American woman & men finding different types of health care, finding doctor, health advice, etc.
PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: This app focuses on bringing awareness and catering to the persistent and dire health disparities that the black community suffers from; and the lack of finding healthcare providers that they’re looking for and feeling more comfortable no matter if it’s primary care, specialists, OBGYNs, Therapist. This application will show African American doctors, therapists, midwives, doulas, etc. based on affordability & location. My design goal was to utilize shades of melanin and abstract shapes that will boldly create a brand and identity.

CLASS: GR 324 OL1: Branding Principles INSTRUCTOR: William Culpepper YEAR OF COMPLETION: Fall 2017 CATEGORIES OF DISCIPLINES: Branding, Visual Identity, Print PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The assignment was to choose an existing company in need of a rebranding and create a new visual identity for it.
PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: Bloom That is a flower delivery company based in San Francisco, CA. They believe in making it their mission to send a little something but in a big movement. They deliver artfully arranged and reasonably priced bouquets, that are wrapped in burlap or placed in a vase delivered via a bike messenger of 90 minutes of when the order has been placed. I wanted to create and design a romantic, fresh, and modern take from the color scheme, logo, and new identity for the company.

That captures also Adidas’ core values performance, passion, integrity, and diversity.
PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: Adidas appears as widely focused on design and driven by the idea of coming up with something unique, innovative but also compelling and rewarding at the same time. Adidas offers the latest and greatest gear that they have to offer at every moment for women, men, and children. They offer apparel, shoes, and accessories. Coming up with something unique, innovative but also compelling and rewarding at the same time for skincare. My inspiration was bringing a compelling yet bold idea and also including the famous Adidas’ iconic three-stripes design.

CLASS: GR 330: Typography 3: Complex Hierarchy INSTRUCTOR: William Culpepper YEAR OF COMPLETION: Spring 2019 CATEGORIES OF DISCIPLINES: Naming, Editorial Design PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This book is a retrospective of the late McQueen’s innovative designs. It represent and tell the story of the legacy that he has left behind. Beginning with his childhood, reliving the lavish designs he created. This book is a tribute to the bold, fashion icon that he was. LONG. LIVE. MCQUEEN.
PROJECT CONCEPT/ DESIGN GOALS: The inspiration and design concept is inspired by his exhibition called Savage Beauty that held at the Metropolitan Art Museum. It opened a year after he took his life. It is kind of dark yet innovative and bold. It takes you and captures you. I wanted the design concept to be dramatic, yet tasteful. He wanted this collection to be inspired by Romantic Gothic. He stated that people found his work as aggressive, but he felt that it was romantic, with a dark twist which we all know love can be sometimes. So, I want to capture those soft, yet dark color palettes. I wanted this book to have a dark themes that was inspired from his work, but presenting them in a way of sartorial beauty.
