Voices of the community
Hello, everyone. My name is Paul Gordon, and I’m honored to serve as the Superintendent of Community Unit School District 303! Since joining this District on July 1, I’ve enjoyed engaging with our dedicated staff, observing the achievements of our young learners and hearing from our families and community members.
I’m grateful to return to Illinois to continue my public education career, which started in Colorado 25 years ago as an English teacher. It wasn’t far from here where I first held the title of superintendent, at Glen Ellyn District 41, and became familiar with this region. After spending the last three years as superintendent of the Wenatchee School District in Wenatchee, Washington, my wife and I are pleased to be back in the Midwest and near our two children, who live in Chicago.
District 303 serves close to 11,800 students and their 8,500 families in St. Charles and portions of our neighboring communities, and thousands more who live and do business in our District. I’m thankful for the opportunity to work alongside each of you in elevating the success of our students and overall pride in District 303. One of my commitments to you is this: Our District will work to ensure that each student, staff and community member feels accepted, validated and is treated fairly. Belonging is part of our theme for this school year, and one of our Board’s adopted values.
We’re also making important connections through our Listen Learn Return engagement sessions. The in-person and online feedback we received this fall will help guide decisionmaking that best supports the needs of our students. I invite you to follow updates on our website and join us for future meetings.
Thank you for your support!
Dr. Paul Gordon Superintendent, CUSD 303
